The Andrew Luck Spell...

Don't watch sportscenter or NFLN much

 

I feel your pain, but probably ten fold. I live in Indy, so of course everyone here thinks he is some sort of god.

I don't get it either. I mean he is a good QB, but really they take advantage of a weak division, and lose to all the upper echelon teams. I swear they do get some good luck though.

Before the PO schedule was announced, I knew they would be playing the Bengals, who are always a 1st round bounce, because that is just their luck to get the easiest team. Then on top of that the Bengals play without one of their best weapons ... again, just that colt luck.

But they are not an elite team, and they will never be one. They will continue to be an above average team that gets way too much hype. They will win the games they should win, but rarely will they beat the top teams in the NFL. Lucky for them, they are in a terrible division. If the Titans, Jags, or Hou could just not be so damn bad every year ... oh well.

 

Luck is really good (top 10)... and he's probably on his way to becoming an elite QB for years to come.

He does some amazing things and also some really bad things that the analysts ignore.

He has been especially lucky in the playoffs... last year with the Chiefs blowing a 28 point lead and all of their players dropping like flies. Then this year he gets to face the Bengals (with no AJ Green) who are simply incapable of winning a playoff game.

Those who consider him the best QB in the league don't watch this league closely enough. I still say Russell Wilson is the better overall QB.

I'm sort of expecting the Colts to beat the Broncos this weekend because they're lucky and Peyton looks like KFC right now... if the Broncos commit to the run, they'll win. Luck will throw his share of picks. Hopefully the Broncos defense commits to pressuring Luck and playin the pass 75% of the time because the Colts running game blows.

 

Does anyone else think Luck looks like Sloth from Goonies?

 

... and the Broncos' defense pays attention and catch the INTs Luck tends to gift straight to a defender nearly EVERY game. It's kind of crazy.

 

Luck is a beast. Sorry. It sucks. We got to build a team that can beat him. And so that must be the focus. Stop trying to convince yourself Luck isn't a great QB. It's ridiculous.

 

Andrew Luck pretty much is the next top QB as soon as Brady and Manning hang em up. ESPN can't not have a polarizing figure to shove down our throats so they make up this facade that Luck=God. He is good, but not as good as ESPN wants us to believe.

 

He's really good and close to becoming elite, but the nut sack riding ESPN does for this guy is beyond ridiculous.

They'll get bounced by the Broncos. Good riddance!
