Nobody is going to give up the farm for either of these QBs, and Winston may go in front of the Duck when the time comes. Why the tunnel vision for QB and trade? We have to trade out or take him!!?? What about Williams and Cooper and a few other candidates with high grades. Hell, both may fall for all we know. I am with GoT, let someone else deal with him and go get the best defensive player on our board or go with the best receiver out there. I would prefer the former, but if we go Offense, I would rather have Cooper than either QB.

Leonard Williams isn't "Flashy", but there is NO questioning his versatility and solid play on the DL. Name one person on this team with that skill..Not even Casey could play the outside like him. Gregory worries me more in terms of being a "project". Winston will be boom or bust...Question is, will the Titans bite?.....

 

I agree with the strategy, qb or trade the #2 pick. With as many holes as we have more picks will benefit us more than any single player not playing qb. If move back to 4, 5 or 6 we will still be able to get a very talented player along with the extra picks.

 

I agree, IF we can trade back. I don't see it happening honestly. I just saw the first mock draft having us take Mariota. I just don't see him falling to #2 with no off field issues like Winston. I think if they take a QB, it will be Winston, and many mocks have that happening (as of now).

I'd love for us to trade back and get picks. Don't see it happening though, I don't have faith in RW. That said, if we pick at #2, I don't want a QB, regardless of who is there. The OL is more of a problem than Mett. If Mett had more than 2.5 seconds to get the ball off, he'd be a hell of a lot better. It would also allow our WRs to get some sereperation.

Fix the OL, and I mean actually fix it. Cut Levitre's useless ass, and Oher. Build it, properly. Use some of those extra picks, FA, just do it. All of a sudden Mett and Sankey look better. Look how good Romo looks this year. Why? Because he's got all day in the pocket. Why did Murray beast out and beat the second closest RB in yards? Because he's playing behind one of the best lines in the game (and he's damn good, granted). All of a sudden 2 of your sophomores are contributing as they should. Spemd some cash on a #1 WR in FA, there's a few available. Tell Hunter to man up and put Wright in the slot. With Mett having some time, he can be a game manager while getting reps and win some games.

This leaves you with the #2 and a handful of picks, plus FA to fix the D. If the D isn't on the field for 40 mins a game, the offense WILL look better. The FO has money to spend. Fix the D and OL and the other pieces will fall into place.

If our top pick is a QB, I'll be pissed.
