Whis on Senior Bowl

Well the market is slim, only 32 teams and are very rarely used.

 

We use Delanie Walker like an H-Back sometimes

 

Charles Clay came in the league as an H-Back.

If we went a TE with insane size and speed and strength that rarely shows it on the field and can't block for crap, Jesse James from Penn State is coming out early.

 

I'm excited that Calhoun will be on the North team as I think he's a very realistic option at 33 and I absolutely love O'leary. He won't measure or test well but I've seen all I need to see, dude can ball. Best hands I've seen on a TE in a long time and he makes the clutch catch.

 

Dont forget we have Taylor Thompson lol

no but really, he was looking quite promising in the preseason before eventually getting hurt week-1.

 

I love TT, I just think O'leary is already a better pass catcher.

 

Thompson is cheap and is going to be back as our 2nd or 3rd TE next year, so adding another TE should be in the plans. But we took a tall defensive player to play offense and 3 years in to that we're still in need of TE's... This is why we're where we are as a franchise.

I agree that taking on projects hasn't helped us much but really TT is a bad example. He was a 5th round pick and his production as a blocker and special teamer justifies his draft slot to me. Locker is the best example of us swinging for the fences and missing.

 

Jake Locker QBed us to wins, Taylor Thompson has what 2 TD blocks?

Locker busted, but so far so has Thompson.

If youre a 5th round pick you should still do more than Thompson has.

 

But Im not down on Thompson, Ive always said he was a 3 year project, so if he can come along next season he's everything we hopped he could be.
