Titans Are The First Big Winners Of The Draft......

I have a strange feeling they will take the bait and roll with a QB. It will be too hard to pass up after all these years without a franchise QB and missed opportunities. They will be looking at it like "When was the last time we had a top 5 pick and when will we next?!.."

 

It's like 1 day I wake up and want defense.

Then I want Jameis.

Then Mariota lol

I can't decide. So far all the NFL analysts have been saying Winston is the safest bet for a NFL QB. I can't remember who, but someone was saying he was similar to Andrew Luck in the fact he is going to probably throw some picks, but he will also toss TD's, get you yards, and convert on 3rd downs. That's what we have been lacking.

The draft is still far away, but as of today I want Tampa to take Mariota and Jameis to fall 2nd.

 

That's what I've been saying, and I think there's a great chance it happens. Winston's film is too good, and between now and draft day there are going to be a lot of teams who will fall in love with his overall play. If the Bucs take Winston we should pick Mariota, and think about changing head coaches.

 

I want Winston over Mariota. I think his upside is worth the risk. I like Mett. Honestly I still think he could be a franchise QB. But the bottom line is he didn't show nearly enough to completely pass on QB at #2.

We severely underachieved this year. In all likelihood we'll be improved but still pretty mediocre next year and it's probably gonna be awhile before we are position to draft a top QB again. I just don't think we can pass on QB here.

Honestly, I think the fact that there's still hope for Mett is all the more reason to throw our balls on the table and draft Winston. We can kinda sorta afford to take that risk because we still have another young guy with potential on the roster.

Winston's upside is so damn high. I don't see how anyone can honestly say that they wouldn't be at least the little bit excited if we drafted him, character flaws and all.

 

The Titans will pass on Winston/Mariota for Mettenbackup the same way Carolina passed on Cam Newton for Clausen.

Get with it.

You don't pass on a potentially franchise QB because a 6th round, injury prone rookie with character flaws had a few nice games.

A large segment of the Carolina fanbase wanted to give Clausen a shot in 2010.

The same way the know it all segment of our fanbase is all in on Mettenbackup. They've been praising him so long they really can't go back on it now.

 

Agreed...Not only might you not get the chance to draft top 3 for a while again....but it puts people in seats, gains media attention, and makes Whiz/Webster looks like they are doing their best to turn it around (Regardless of production). I am pretty sure they are rolling with a QB here...No matter WHAT they say...
