Totally different players, and FTR Verner went to UCLA and he turned into a top CB.

I seriously still to this day have no idea what happened to Akeem Ayers. Weirdest thing.

I don't think Webster thinks ILB is much of an issue because of Williamson and Brown returning. I think in his mind those are his 2015 starters. I did hear Webster say in an interview that he wants to get better depth at LB (and by the way he said it, it was clear he meant OLB).

I could even see us go OLB with our first two picks (obviously depending on who's there). Something like: Gregory/Beasley/Ray in the 1st and Mauldin/Dawson/Kikaha in the 2nd.

If we dont take a QB early it better be a OLB. And I was so relieved when I read Webster say LB was a need, cause its only been 3 years since we had good LB play.

KC has 125.5 mil commited to 39 players in 2015 and with a 140 projected NFL cap franchising or signing Houston is going to be rough. He's worth overpaying for if that is what it takes to get him here.

I'd take him in the second round in a heartbeat. People slip in the draft for one reason or another and Kendricks has always been an under the radar type of player. With that said, I could see the Broncos taking him with their 1st.

We do have the 1st pick of the 2nd round, so we'll see how it plays out I guess.

What's happened with Anthony Barr who was a 9th overall pick from UCLA? He's had one of the best defensive rookie seasons this year. The difference between the UCLA team Ayers played for and the one Barr and Kendricks have played for are vastly different.

If I showed you tape of all the ILB's in the draft but blurred their teams, colors and names you'd all pick Kendricks as the best player. BUT, he could slide in the draft due to his size and possibly his speed. I've seen him listed anywhere from 6' and 220lbs to 6'1 and 230lbs.

Perryman and McKinney have great NFL size for the position but neither is currently anywhere near Kendricks in read, recognition, instincts and getting to the ball. Of course, it's nice to have a 6'5 250lb LB sitting in the middle of your zone that a QB has to try and throw over.

He started out promising, ran all over place and made a lot of plays, then hurt his knee, then quit trying, then went to the Patriots and got a bunch of sacks.
