I don't think Cardale Jones should stay put. It's not guaranteed Miller is gone yet even though it looks that way and Barrett also remains. He should transfer to another school or just declare. He can develop for a year and then maybe take over the reigns the next season, depending on his progress. Would I take him? Sure, in the 5th round or later. Why not? The guy has potential, has played pretty well during the 3 biggest games, has some nice NFL attributes, and he's still raw enough that you can develop him into your own certain kind of QB. This isn't a guy who has started 3 years and then all of a sudden needs to change schemes or his approach.

yep and its not going to change. He is the "hot thing" right now. I dont want him but its smart for him to come out now. If he goes to the Steelers or Ravens and sitting a few years, it would up his change for success. If he goes back to school his stock will only go down and wasn't he the one that said " we come here to ply football not to play school?" So I'm sure he doesn't like school.

After 3 great performances in a row, Cardale hasn't ruled out going pro. I think he would be a great risk for the Titans in the 3rd round. His upside is immense, and we wouldn't have to take Jameis early. We could have him sit behind Mett next year to learn and wouldn't be pressured to start. That way we could see what we have in Mett without the risk of having no back up plan or wasting an early pick.

Best case scenario is Mett succeeds and we can trade Cardale. Worst case we wasted a 3rd round pick, which is bad, but not the end of the world. I'm willing to take that risk. He looked great in his 3 starts and excels at stretching the field, which can open up the run game.

I would love to see Cardale in 2 tone blue. Thoughts?

He should go pro but the Titans should not draft him.

I like what a couple of scouts have said, that he is more of a day 3 pick. 3 games is hardly enough to evaluate someone on.

If we can get him later that's even better.

I guess you could use the same reasoning for Brady and Warner being backups too then, I guess.

Yes, there's a reason he was a 3rd stringer... because Braxton Miller and JT Barrett are both good college QBs. Jones is clearly the better NFL prospect of the three though.

Jones looks like the real deal... I doubt he declares. He can build draft stock and become the top QB prospect. Two more years of eligibility left.

He'll probably have to transfer unless OSU commits to him as the starter over Miller. That's what they should do, but I have a feeling they'll go back to Miller.

One, if not two OSU QBs are going to transfer.

3rd is early with only three starts. But in those three starts he looked as good if not better (as a real NFL prospect) than any college QB I've ever seen in their first three starts.

Well worth the risk. BUT... I think he would be wise to stick to college for at least one more season if not two.

Both of them need to make that decision pretty quickly. Not being at their new schools for spring ball will put a big dent in their abilities to pick up the new offenses.

I'm not going to pretend that I've sat down and watched the guy play outside of being a fan, but has anyone actually broken him down yet? I haven't seen him throw in windows, throw guys open, looked at his footwork. None of that.

Give it a week to settle in before declaring your love for Cardale Jones.
