Also, let's pass on Cobb. Another over hyped guy that won't produce much here. If we are going with mett we need size guys. Taller WRs like whiz had in SD

Yeah I think most people would be happy with signing 6 of the top 20 free agents. We might get two if we are extremely lucky.
We do have plenty of money though, maybe not for all that but we should manage a nice Free Agency.

According to Walter Football we could draft:

    1) Leonard Williams DT/DE USC
    2) Eric Kendricks ILB UCLA
    3) Hauoli Kikaha DE/OLB Washington

Since rookies are cheap now and we have cap space we not only can but have to burn, I guess we throw away more money at Oline and hope not to get Levitre'd again.

Mike Iupati - Guard will probably get a record setting contract.
Bryan Bulaga - Tackle will probably get highest OT contract this free agency if he hits it.

Ryan Matthews- RB then I go ahead and overpay for this RB that won't be worth it, but could be good in a committee situation.

I'd of course target Dez or Demaryius but the franchise tag will likely prevent that.

That's like my dream draft, almost. Just replaced Kendricks with McKinney and Walt's there.

Pair this with a 4th rd OG or OT. Will likely also have either a 3rd or 4th comp pick to use on I'd say either a RB or WR.

I'd still love to give Justin Houston a record deal with this draft. Go after a FA NT (Dan Williams) & need to find a starting OG/OT. We have the money easily.

If we cut the fat after June 1, we not only have enough cap to sign 4 big time free agents, we could sign Manning too. But barring Manning coming here, we should cut guys as we sign replacements and all of them prior to June 1st to get the dead money off the books. Or we cut them post june 1 to get an extra $8+mil cap space this off-season and use that to offset some of the big money to the new guys so they have more manageable cap numbers over the next 4-5 years (after this season).

We want difference makers or really good players it'd be hard to get in the draft. bulaga is a good player but I haven't watched enough of him to know how much money to throw at him. Iupati is one of the best OG's in the game and while he's a beast in the run game, he gets beat occasionally on pass rush.

Where you can't really get hurt is with a Dez Bryant and Justin Houston. They are young, have excellent seasons and are as good as it gets in the league at their positions. Go after them FIRST. Not sure Denver can keep all of their guys if Manning comes back but i know they want to keep the 2 Thomas'. Point is, not all the Super star players can be kept by their team and you prioritize the best and youngest first. And players that fill holes too...like Bulaga, Iupati and Devin McCourty.

I'll take Bulaga, Iupati and McCourty before Dan Williams. First, these players are bigger upgrades and fill bigger holes and there is still a chance we could end up with Danny Shelton in the draft.

The Titans will have a really good idea if they are likely to get/take LW, Winston os trade down by the time free agency starts so they should know whether to add Suh to the list of players to go after.

I want no part of signing a free agent RB unless it is Murray without breaking the bank or Marshawn Lynch...again, without breaking the bank or at least structured in a team friendly way to protect us against catastrophic decline. Murray is young-ish (he'll be 27) but had over 400 touches last season...which is a ton. Lynch would be a nice complimentary piece and help bring an attitude to our rushing attack...but he's nowhere near what he used to be. And fixing our OL and getting D help (Houston and McCourty) are bigger needs than RB and a far cry below our need for a big time WR like Bryant or Thomas.

I'm near positive Fitzgerald will be cut. He has a $15mil cap hit and he hasn't even been a 1000 yard WR the last few years. He's 31. Would you sign him if we couldn't get a Bryant or Thomas? For how much???

According to Over the Cap, we currently have ~$41M in projected space. If we cut these players we can bring that total to $70M in space.
    • Oher - $2M
    • Griffin (Post Jun 1 designation) - $6.3M
    • Levitre (Post Jun 1 designation) - $6.5M
    • Wimbley - $0.95M
    • Stevens - $3.5M
    • Greene - $3.35M
    • Sammie Hill - $4M
    • Pollard - $3.2M
Assuming the following are all available in FA, could we realistically have a shot at signing them all from a CAP perspective?
    • Bryan Bulaga - RT - $7.5M avg/year
    • Devin McCourty - FS - $9.5M avg/year
    • Brandon Flowers - CB - $9.5M avg/year
    • Dan Williams - NT - $6.5M avg/year
    • Brian Orakpo - OLB - $9M avg/year
    • Eddie Royal - WR - $4M avg/year
    • Derrick Morgan (re-sign FA) - $8M avg/year
If we signed all of these players, it would still leave us with $16M cap space to sign a kicker, punter, draft picks, others. I'm not necessarily saying these guys are all worth the money, but I am projecting what it will take to seal the deal with each FA.

    Thoughts?

Keep dreaming guys. This isn't Madden, we'd never sign all those players. As much as I absolutely wish we could... it just wouldn't happen. It's possible cap-wise, but nobody wants to play for the Titans and our GM is an idiot.
