Williams is a beast. Taking a dude that is 6'5 300 athletic enough to play inside and out is a no brainer. Especially in the 3-4. If for some reason he busts, people will say "wow" I didn't see that coming....If Gregory does, listen for the "I told you so" comments. Mariota hype is great for us in a trade back scenario, but he is a system guy and Winston has talent but baggage. It's going to be damn interesting to see how this plays out.

I would like to think so... I like Zach and if we could get some protection up front... We could get a better idea of our future with him...

    Is Mett our guy???

I can tell you that Lewan thinks he will be a stud and has the "IT" factor. Having teammates believe in you is important. I've heard plenty of announcers praise him for his ability to make NFL throws and his cannon arm.

His detractors will point out his holding onto the ball too long and his poor decision making on some of his throws. Those type of mistakes are called "rookie mistakes".

Mett was a rookie and to expect him to play flawless is very unrealistic. Having an NFL caliber arm and having teammates think you have the "IT" factor are 2 very important intangibles that can't really be taught.

I certainly would give Mett the chance to improve on those flaws in his game. With more experience and an improved OL Mett might flourish in Whisenhunt's vertical passing game.

If he doesn't then you move on after this year. It is too early in my book to close the book on a guy who has shown what he has shown. If you are able to find a cheap young franchise QB then it makes it much easier from a cap standpoint to build the rest of your roster.

I roll the dice with Mett and build around him this offseason

Lewan and Mett are besties, so I'd take that praise with a grain of salt...
