So yesterdays Packers Seahawks game just about ends all arguments that you need a top5 qb pick and that's all the matters to a team. Without the defense and running game, Seattle would have lost yesterday period. Yes, Wilson played great when he needed, all of 3 minutes. But he was lucky to be in that situation. You don't need a great qb to make it to the Superbowl. They have now made it two years in a row with one of the worst passing games in the league. They just beat a top3 offense in the league because their d couldn't do anything. No offense can fire on 100% all the time, when that happens, you need a good defense. Build up the team with Mett, if it doesn't work we have top picks again next year with better QB's. Its not a hard decision at all really.

I agree. They aren't winning anything until the defense can stop the run, create turnovers, and give the Offense a fighting chance. Look at Seattle. they have all average receivers, a 3rd round QB, and a solid RB, and just disposed of one of them most potent offenses in the league in less than 5 minutes.

Yes it is true that if you have a good oline, real good rb, good coaches, good dline, good lbs, good secondary and a good special teams you don't need a great qb.

Heres the problem, we don't have many of those pieces at all. Why in the hell fo people think you should get 10 new starters as apposed to getting one qb. Makes no sense at all. More teams win with a top qb in modern football. Yes, it's obvious there are exceptions to this (Seattle). But it's very rare, we have a better chance of getting a qb, than filling 10 holes in one offseason.

Lol their "3rd round QB" is easily top 10 in the league and absolute money in the playoffs.

    Y'all live in fantasy land.

Lynch and Wilson singlehandedly brought Seattle back.

The Titans have neither a dominant running back or QB.

Prepare to swirl around the toilet bowl of the league again next year

What really sucks, is that there are teams out there with bad QBs that are doing better than you guys.

Ryan Fitzpatrick swept the Tennessee Titans. & that's not because he's a good QB, or that he's better than your QBs.

It's because your offensive think-tank sucks.

Until you get someone who knows how to put together an offense... it really doesn't matter who your QB is.

Now... I like what I saw out of Mettenberger & I like Whisenhunt as a coach (he's the guy I wanted in Houston) so I'd sit back a little & see what he does in year two before I go & get him a 1st round QB. If Winston falls, I'd have a hard time passing him up though.
