Yeah I agree. Like if it was the Jets, I'd ask for #6, their 2nd and 3rd, this year and their 1st next year at a minimum.

as you can see below, even with NYJ 1-3 picks theyre 230 points short on the chart, asking for their 2016 1st pick is a bit much but would be nice if theyre being generous

But if it's for a QB people will overpay. We are in the position of advantage here. We're the ones with the pick that's in demand. It's not like we have to find a partner whose picks match the value of ours perfectly, in fact if a team was serious about trading up I would think they'd come in with an offer above what the chart shows. And again, I've heard many people say that nobody uses the chart anymore because it's outdated. But it does give a general idea of the value of the picks.

    how is the chart outdated?

but yes we could potentially get more than what the picks worth (2600 points). The Redskins ended up giving away 5000 points for that same pick we now have.

It was created in the early 90's by Jimmy Johnson. Unless the chart has been updated, almost everyone on TV and the radio that mention it seem to indicate that not many teams use it anymore because the values of the picks aren't the same as they were back in the 90's.

youre just saying its a 25 year old chart, I dont get why that devalues it.... Not like the number of draft picks have changed since..

Everyone says it's outdated but no one has come up with an alternative.

GMs just don't like it that we know when get they screwed.

Well, you have to factor the changes in salary cap and free agency which are way different from 25 years ago. Those two items alone should raise the point value for picks.

    I'm still all in on:

    1st: Leonard Williams
2nd: OLB (still undecided on who)
    3rd: OL (RT or LG)
    4th: WR (another playmaker/Nate replacement)
    Comp: NT (should be 3rd/4th)
    5th: RB

Fix the front 7 & 1 of our OL needs. Replace Nate Washington, who's likely gone and Hunters becoming more and more questionable. Package this with another starting caliber OL and OLB and all our major holes are fixed.
