Air does compress in colder weather which would be a factor (though not the reason for a drastic change).

Wouldn't it be on the NFL/refs to actually check this out before hand?

They do, 2 hours and 15 minutes before the game.

But why only pats and not colts effected? Apparently 11 of 12 provided by pats were under inflated while colts were on the mark.

I was wondering about this, also. Fill it in a warm room... was it checked inside or outside? Temperature control. If inside, that room was also warm.

Then put in a cold place after checked until the game... then cold weather during game would keep the pressure low.

Only way I can see that happening. So, penalize them for what? IF it was deflated, can't see how it can be done physically.

Baseball players get suspended and fined for corked bats but way too much money in football to stir the pot. Can you imagine Brady getting suspended right now? Oh the humanities and the sponsors.

The real question is... how deflated were those footballs?

If you have a strong grip, at what psi does a football feel deflated? Just because that one defender thought it felt deflated doesn't necessarily mean it was THAT low.

Until I hear numbers, this is complaining.

As said above 2 lbs which is significant.

IF weather was the factor, why did it only effects Pats balls and not Colts?

I didn't say during the game. I said that period between they could have been placed in a VERY cold place - colder than during the game.
