Amari is a good player. I wonder if his skill set involves pass blocking or rushing a passed? A bit undersized for a oline guard or de, but it could work.
WR ate a dime a dozen in FA. We, just as every team needs QB, oline, and DE. We are not good at any of those position. You can put okay players at nearly every other position and be pretty good as long as you are good at those 3.

Guess i'll mark him off as the potential "late 1st round pass rusher that falls to us at #33" column

I think some of these '1st rnd' pass rushers will be there in rnd 2...especially early. It's hard to imagine something like 10-12 pass rushers go in the top 35 picks. I think rb may move up (Gurley and Gordon), there are at least 7+ WR's who are probably rated similarly to the pass rushers, at least 2 QB's, a few CB's, S's, TE, OL and DL.

I havent looked at my own list this way, but cbssports draft guys at the moment have 24 players rated as 1st round picks and 25-42 as borderline 1st/2nd rnd picks.

The real trick is getting impact players in free agency who still leave us room to get big time impact players in the draft at any position!

I wonder where Nick Mashall ends up going, ex-Auburn QB is switching positions to CB. 6'1 205 and is supposedly "rapidly" progressing at CB. It helps being an ex-QB knowing routes, etc? Found one site saying he could go as high as the 3rd round... but I think that's pretty risky. As a 4th comp pick, he might be something to look at.

I heard good things from the senior bowl practices, but 3rd round? Youre right, seems risky.

Two late round prospects you guys should check out are Jordan Taylor WR from Rice (6'5, 206) and Zach Wagenmann DE Montana (6'3, 250).

I saw Wagenmann play in the NFL PA Bowl and he looked like the best d-lineman in the game, a high motor guy ala VanDen Bosch. I think he had like 19 sacks this year for Montana. The only video I could find has one play in it.

Taylor would give us the big bodied WR we need. Great hands and catches anything that's near him. Reminds me of a bigger Mariani. This is the best video of him I could find and it's not great, but the first catch is sick.

I wouldn't take either one until the 6th or 7th and even if they're not drafted perhaps we can sign them as UDFA's.

I'm interested to see how Quentin Rollins performs on Saturday. He is the kid out of Miami-OH that was a basketball star and switched to CB his senior year. He is getting a lot of buzz this week. There is talk he may go in the first but my guess is he will be there in the 2nd. Scouts are saying he is showcasing elite skills, but he obviously is still a bit raw.

Was just about to mention him also. I'm seeing him starting to show up at late 1st, could be there with our 2nd... potential #1 CB.

I'm really starting to check out 2nd-3rd round OLBs also... it's likely we're either going QB or Leonard with #2... so OLB must be drafted in Day 2. Lots of talent there, Danielle Hunter is interesting... alot like Bark Mingo.

Mingo is undersized for what the browns are asking him to do, but coming out I loved Mingo for us.
