I'm a huge Gurley fan, but I have my doubts about him in the NFL. Chubb on the other hand, may be the next, and better even, Eddie George.

If we trade back I expect atleast another 2 and 4 this year (3rd would be better).

1: Danny Shelton: Been dominating the Senior Bowl. Conditioned himself to play the whole game playing against up-tempo offenses.
2: Nate Orchard: A lot of buzz around him during the senior bowl, he'll only shoot up draft boards.
2 (trade): Laken Tomlinson: Another Senior Bowl standout the only player to stand Shelton up.
3: Tyler Lockett: Slot type player. Use to playing against man coverage and having a safety over the top. Shifty and a crisp route runner.
4:Henry Anderson: Protypical 3-4 defensive end. Turned it up towards the end of his season
4(trade): Nick Marshall: Worth the risk here (could go higher) a lot of buzz about his making the switch to corner and doing well at the position.

Mock draft is senior bowl heavy. Most players I have mentioned before the senior bowl that I have liked Shelton, Orchard, Lockett, and Anderson.

Don't forget our comp pick. If Dorial Green Beckham falls because of his off field stuff and have not played in a year, I would take a flyer on him in the 3 or 4 if we have multiple picks in those rounds. If he gets his head on right, he has huge potential.

Project players in the 3rd or 4th? No thanks.

Our project players NEVER pan out. Taylor Thompson-bum, Jason Jones-bum, Chris Henry-bum, Tyron Calico-bum.

    No more projects! :chairwack:

He has the size TE coaches drool over

Its never a good idea trying to convert a DE into a position where ball skills are needed. QB to WR ok, RB to WR ok, WR to TE or TE to WR, but not DE to TE.

Why all the hate on Taylor Thompson as of late? We knew coming in it would take time for him to make the change. He was a 5th round pick, people here are acting like he was a 2nd-4th round pick. That is where you draft guys like him 5th-7th.

He is a beast in blocking and special teams. Receiving is less than desirable, atleast he is a cheaper verison of craig stevens.

Stevens should be gone, he's a fine blocker with soft hands, but he's slow as hell and is hurt right now. Just cut bait and find a receiving threat with some size. Thompson is cheap so he's back, but we cant have just Walker and a bunch of blocking TE's, we dont run the ball to even need a 2nd guy like that.....

I agree. It's scary to think what the team would look like if Walker went down for the season. I can't imagine playing a full season as TT and Stevens as my top 2 TEs. But on the other hand, with Walker having the season that he did, it's not really a hole on the team and with so many other areas that need addressed I can't see them doing much at the TE position.

How is he a project? On the field wise, he is up there with Copper. His off the field is what worries people. Some think he still could go in the first or second. Im interested if he falls. He was the best WR in the country last year (2013).
