Why did they call Mariota's agent then if not to hype him up in hopes someone reaches...

If someone takes Petty in round 1 I will be shocked! Unless we see some drastic improvement in his reading ability and throwing to his secondary options with more accuracy, I don't see it happening. Even then, I think it would be wasteful for Houston, Rams, Wash to grab him in round 1.

I COULD see the Eagles take Petty (or certainly Mariota if he drops) because they fit his system better! but even then, why should they spend a 1st when he can probably be had in the 3rd - 5th rnd?

Mannion fits our system and I'll be interested in going back over the senior bowl workouts and that game to dissect his game with good talent around him. So far I'm not overly impressed. he looks like a mid-round player at best at the moment. I'll stick with my initial assessment of a 5th round until he shows me something better. Mannion is going to have to show me he can read defenses FASTER than Mett now because Mett has a much stronger arm and is more accurate when he doesn't have pressure.

Congratulate him? No, quite the opposite. When they asked him on set about the QB's and then Mett, he went on and on about Mett. next thing you know, everyone has us NOT taking a QB! The Titans are bad at this!!!

Jets will take Mariota at 6 since they got Chan Gailey as their OC who has experience working with running QB's and tailor's his offense to his player's strengths.

I don't think the Jets are stupid enough to think the Eagles will trade up to 2 for Mariota nor the bluff that the Rams, Houston or Wash would be interested as none of them run an offense built for a mobile QB. The Broncos are a team that could take a 2nd rnd QB early...especially a Hundley type.

They called him because they wanted him to come to see how hard it would be for him to run a Pro Style system and to see how much he can learn in a week and how he would be against good talent playing in a Pro style offense right now. A great week of practice and maybe we WOULD take him! But a bad week could plummet him out of round 1 so no go.

"NFL Media’s Mike Mayock called Crowder one of the stars of Tuesday’s North team practice, saying “no one covered him today.” He touted Crowder’s quickness out of breaks. While Crowder (5-foot-8 1/8, 174 pounds) looks like he’ll be a slot receiver at the next level, Mayock also likes Crowder’s ability as a return man."

I think Titans should really take a good look at Crowder. It would help to have a true slot receiver plus would help to get younger in the return game since Leon is getting up in age.

After the first drive in the Senior Bowl, the North defensive players look pretty bad besides the small CB from Oregon State.

Coached by the mighty Whisenhunt so they have probably regressed.

I think Bryce Petty might have played himself out of the draft. He looked bad not playing in the Baylor offense.

Laken Tomlinson has shown he might be the real deal. He has held his own so far.
