Josh Gordon suspended

Justin Blackmon and Josh Gordon have robbed us of watching two great talents.

OH WELL!

 

Alcohol is essentially a drug, especially when it's used to get drunk.

I don't agree with Gordon getting in such big trouble for minor problems... but rules are rules, and he's stupid for continuously breaking them.

 

Wow I didn't realize after a dwi the nfl could make it a requirement that you don't drink alcohol. That's pretty crazy to me that he could get a year suspension for a random drug test after having some wine at his own house.

 

Called it.

Boones Farm is actually classified as wine.

 

It's the same reason Prater was suspended as well.

It is stupid. No doubt. I think it's also stupid to get suspended for pot.

But for Gordon, it's alarming that he just doesn't get it. I'm sure the team and his agent stressed that he cannot consume alcohol for X amount of time.

It's just ridiculous that a first time domestic violence offender faces a 6 game suspension, while Gordon faces a year suspension for drinking wine.

NFL needs to get its sh*t together... and the only way it will ever get its sh*t together is if Goodell is gone. The guy has proven time and time again he doesn't belong in this league. He's a douche. I hate him more than the Ravens now.

 

You forgot to mention he has been a drunk driver before getting a full year of banishment.

I think it's perfectly fine you have to join the substance abuse program when you've showed you can't handle it, one way or another.

It's not like it's the first time for Gordon.

 

He should be facing a suspension, but a whole season?

I know... keep suspending him 4 games and he'll never learn. It's just if he gets a year suspension for drinking wine (regardless of his past), it'll be pathetic IMO.

Guys have gotten DUIs and been back the next week... this guy was having wine at his house, being completely responsible. Al Michaels had a DUI and was right back at his job like it was nothing. It's absurd that guys aren't punished harsher for DUIs. But if the punishment for DUIs is generally nothing at all, why should Gordon have to face a year suspension for sipping on some wine in the comfort of his own home?

Rules are rules, but rules are seriously stupid at times.

 

Rules have changed before this season, which is also why Gordon played some games this year. He was suspended for a year, but under the new rules it was only 10 games.
You can't compare what has happened earlier years, rules have changed.
