Yeah, in the end it looks like he just thought screw it and put up anything to see if it would go in.

Especially when Love leaves for LA this summer.

Tell me about it. We're playing with ZERO intensity. We need Noah to get healthy, but I feel his knees are about to take a Brandon Roy type of turn. Jimmy has cooled off and looks like Jimmy of last year. Then the Dunleavy injury really hurts us, just screws with our rotation. Atleast Rose has stayed healthy (knocks on wood), now he just needs to quit being a vagina and take it to the hoop, he's slowly getting better.

im not too worried yet, my hopes are that we get everyone healthy come playoffs. East is pretty weak when the Hawks have the best record lol

Not this summer. With the huge cap increase looming it's in his best interest to pickup his player option and hang around for another year.

    After that who knows...

Originally I wished he hadn't come back. If we wind up winning a championship I guess it doesn't matter and I'll be glad he did, and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with regards to his essay, but I really wanted to see David Blatt get in there and coach up a young squad consisting of Kyrie, Wiggins, Waiters, Zeller, and Thompson.

Really, up until we traded for Mozgov, Shump, and JR, I was furious with how LeBron had seemingly derailed the team. But now that two weeks rest has him looking like his old self and Griffin managed to turn a complete headcase (Waiters) into a much needed talented C and a couple of role players that seem to have been completely rejuvenated since being traded (well, JR does, Shump is still coming back from injury, has been looking good though).

So, the TL; DR version goes: If LeBron brings a championship to Cleveland then all is forgiven. If not, I'll always wonder about what could have been. Realistically though Waiters would have likely imploded and possibly sunk the team himself, LeBron put us in a position where we could get rid of him and get some pieces that could make us actual contenders. Without LeBron I don't know if Waiters gets traded and if the same trade goes down would JR and Shump even want to be on the team? As is, they obviously do and their play is showing it.

idk man, I think ATL is legit. They just play good team ball, Spurs of the East. I'm more worried about Washington & the Cavs getting it together.

I still think Chicago will be in the finals though, we'll figure it out.

If he ever wants to play in LA (rumors are he reallllly does), then he has to go this summer. LA has mad money available, and will spend it all... because that's what LA does. I can't imagine Cleveland ever trading him if he picks up his player option and it's doubful the Lakers have $$ for him next year. I'm sure there GM could be creative though.

Doesn't matter how much money they have next year. The cap is going to skyrocket due to the new TV deal the year after that. That's why LeBron's contract is so short; so he can sign a new contract once the cap skyrockets.

The Lakers absolutely will have money for anybody they want year after next, because the cap is going to jump so high. It's supposed to be something like $66 million next year and then jump to anywhere from $80 mill to $90 mill the next. So Love's options are:
Deny player option and pick up a one year deal somewhere until the cap increases.
Deny player option and sign a long term contract somewhere and miss out on making more money due to the increased cap.
Pick-up player option and then sign long term somewhere for more money in 2016.

What Love wants is a championship ring, and LA isn't going to be sniffing that for a looooong time with or without him. Quite frankly, his best chance at that is either this year (pending on how quickly the Cavs build chemistry) or next year with the Cavs (pending on how they hold the team together; Dan Gilbert is going to pay a king's ransom to keep that team intact next year though...).
