I used to deflate balls for The Miami Dolphins. I fell asleep in the bathroom in the middle of the process and got fired.
    Dan Marino was pissed!

So you're saying the rules don't take into account organic crowd noise? You're right, they don't. It is considered home field advantage (always has been and always will be) which all teams have the same ability to do. Therefore, there is no competitive advantage as all teams have the same opportunity and play the same number of games at home. So there is no way to game the system. So it is not comparable. Also, the effects of homefield advantage are well known and quite replicable. The deflated balls don't appear to be and most NFL players (not involved) think it does give an advantage...how much is the variance.

So please name a play in a game this year in which the Titans did something similar to what the Patriots did with 4 OL, a backup OT wearing a WR number but appearing to be lined up at LT, and a RB declaring himself ineligible (while lined up in the slot)...2 seconds before the snap?

I would agree...except Belicheck said it did the opposite!

Actually this is the NFL not wanting to mess with the Super Bowl which is why 2 of the most important people to interview (Belicheck and Brady) won't be interviewd til after the Super Bowl.

Let's see. In my analogy, I suggested a player who previously cheated (which the Patriots did and were found guilty of and punished) finds a way to break a rule (having increased levels of whatever) without being responsible for breaking the rule (which is you and the Pats explanation though the science doesn't add up) and we have no smoking gun (no video of someone taking the air out for the Pats and no one injecting anything for the cyclist). I also added in the analogy that he beat the other riders by a substantial amount so the increase in whatever didn't play a role in the outcome of the race (just as the deflated balls didn't affect the outcome of the Colts game). Would you let him keep his title, keep his title and punish him, or strip him and give him a ban for cheating?

But since you like your analogy better, what happens to the Race team if it is determined the loss of weight was not due to normal circumstances (collision, driver losing water) but must have come from something else...but what exactly, you don't know. And yet they are significantly underweight. What happens? Do they keep the title?

You didn't answer the question...you just pointed out other people. What would YOU do if you were a baseball sportswriter with a Hall of Fame ballot if McGuire had never used steroids but got those affects by skirting the rules with steroid precursors that were never against the rules (say he changed tactics so as they outlawed one thing, he'd find another to game the system). Do you vote him into the Hall first ballot or what?

Piazz, FYI, is a weird case. He's never had a hint of steroid use and yet didn't get the requisite votes and the speculation is that since he has been the best hitting catcher in history during the steroid era, he probably cheated. So it appears he's getting thrown in with known cheaters unfairly...but then again, we don't know. But pretty crappy without a single allegation of steroid or PED use surrounding him. Meanwhile one of the Kings of PED's will be back with the Yankees this year and the only person happy about it is AROD!
