Was a little confused by this... Lake was interviewing for a ton of GM jobs elsewhere. If he's good enough to get interviews to be a GM, how is he not good enough to be our VP? Everything I saw on Twitter was praising Lake, so what gives?

Maybe there was a reason he didn't get any of those GM jobs? I don't know, but you can't discount it.

To be honest Dawson never really had a chance to show what he could do. Webster seems like a control freak. He drafted & signed who he wanted. Dawson was never linked to any of the signings or even present in pics of draft picks or FA signings. It seems like he should have been heavily involved. I am not very knowledgeable of the FO dealings, but it seems like VP of Player Personnel would be more involved & visible during the draft & FA signings.

Many teams saw Dawson as the best FO mind in our building. He was in the mix for a few GM jobs around the league. If he had been with a winning team he may have had a shot at one. Hard to say. During his time here he was so behind the scenes & out of the spotlight it's hard to say.

The state of our current roster is a mess. Dawson was Webster's scape goat. Now it is all squarely on the head of Webster. If he does not do some amazing things this year the blame has no where to fall now, but on him. As much as I think Dawson may have been a good FO presence, I am glad he is gone so Webster has no more excuses.

I just have to wonder if Webster didn't just get rid of the only in house replacement that could have stepped in when his eventual firing takes place. Actually is probably Webster trying to put the Titans in a tight spot to keep him. I would rather have a new GM than anyone from in house, but as far as interim goes there is no one now.

Hate to say it but Dawson was the league token black guy.

I don't understand who really cares. If you want a culture change, everyone must go.

Why must we keep hiring the next guy up? Idc how he was viewed or how many interview's he had.

The product that was put on this field the last few years is less than acceptable and everyone is at fault.

Remember horton was getting interviews left and right, must be a great coach!. Whose happy with his impact?

Im not jumping off the horton train yet. Its funny how people think Dawson could drag us out of the bottom because he had a few interviews.
