Like I said, dumb. Go ahead and put your kids in the projects, then. Give them a better chance to succeed in life.

    Umm how bout no?

Look at the numbers, far more NFL players come from poverty than wealth

Uhhh... It's called not spoiling them and teaching them important life lessons. Rich kids usually think they're entitled. I have a rich friend who's never worked a day in his life, and all he does is complain about the lower class. Basically everything is beneath him. He's too good for everything.

You don't have to starve the kids and move them to the projects if you are wealthy.

    Be logical.

I get what he's thinking, but in sports the broke kids have the upper hand because it's all they have.

Rich kids would rather be at the pool or out shopping while the other kid is stuck working out to get out.

It was his sweeping generalization, not mine. Aside from that, it doesn't matter how much of a snot the kid is. If he hates losing, he can find just as much motivation as anyone else in sports.
Yes. Josh Gordon's never ending spirit granted him the ability to be 6-5, run a 4.4 40, and have a 35 inch vertical. Look, I'm not saying the guys from bad upbringings aren't motivated for it. But the primary motivation for sports is a fierce competitive edge, and that goes for everybody. Hating to lose is hating to lose, regardless of what you go home to. People with that edge don't need anything extra. A kid I work with in wrestling is on his way to winning the state tournament and going to his choice of national tournaments in the summer. His dad happens to be one of the wealthiest people in Murfreesboro. If you told him that he couldn't do well in sports in his life for the simple fact that, because of his dad, he is not capable of finding the motivation to win, he would laugh in your face. And so would I. Avoid sweeping generalizations. And as a sidenote, don't get me started on a high school kid thinking that the best chance for him to get out of poverty is making it to the pros. Cam Newton gave a speech to kids and said "They are giving away checks in the NFL, all you have to do is go claim yours." About the most blatent misuse of his influence I have ever seen from an athlete.
