Flacco's contract was worse and more harmful. Wilson will probably end up with a similar deal.

I hope Wilson is willing to structure his deal to help the team, but I doubt that happens.

    Luck will get more.

The market for QBs continues to increase. It'll be $30mil a year in no time.

Back in 1990 Montana was the highest paid player in the league making like $3-4mil a year.

yeah, the dollar was worth more in 1990, the NFL makes a ton more money than they did back then, and there have been at least a couple CBA agreements since then, where franchises are having to share more of the wealth with the players.

Compared to what these NFL teams rake in, NFL players are vastly underpaid, even worse back when they were only making a few million per year.

NFL players are the most screwed of any major sport. Sign a 50 million dollar contract, and you may only make 10 million of it. In NHL and baseball too, the team pays you regardless of the outcome. NFL is heavily biased in the Owners' interest.. especially so, because of the high chance of serious injury in the NFL.

NFL contracts are a big joke. A contract that only favors one side. We'll pay you x amount, until we decide we don't want to, anymore.

The better question is, how can you disagree with me after the nfc championship and the cheater bowl?

Ya, I can judge from those two games that he is NOT elite.

The last play of the game prevented Wilson from being elite (but he's close). He should've audibled or thrown the ball away. Ignoring the fact that the play call was awful to begin with, Lockette was wide open when the route began, so I get what Wilson saw, but Butler broke on it so fast at the end, and it was too late.

BUT Wilson is easily top 10... and he's verging on elite. Get the man a true #1 WR and a TE.

Did you watch those games all the way through? Did you not see that two of Wilson's picks in the NFC Championship were 100% not his fault? Did you not see that he made all the throws he needed to make when they counted most?

Did you not realize that he has three full seasons of work and that judging him off of these last two games alone is stupid, regardless of the outcome?

Well, what if some kid only watched Peyton Manning in last year's Super Bowl and this year's Divisional playoff against the Colts? They would've thought he was one of the worst QBs in the league.

Just so you know... Russell Wilson's numbers in his first three years as a starter nearly mirror Tom Brady's in his first three years as a starter. And let's not forget that Tom Brady had a top 10 defense two of the years they won the Super Bowl (2003 and 2004). TEAM GAME.

People aren't consistent when they say Wilson is overrated. Their reasonings are terrible. I guess Big Ben shouldn't be considered elite because he had a great defense in all three of his Super Bowl appearances too. Let's forget the fact that it's a team game and expect one guy to do it all.

The Seahawks defense was poop last night, and I know you know this.

OK....I can deal with the whole elite comment, although I think he is in the upper echelon at this point.

However, do you agree with 520's view that Mett, Locker, KFC, and Rusty Smith are better than RW? Who out of that group of 5 would you want behind center for us next season if all were equally available (and in their prime, in KFC's case) to us?

Also in Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers super bowl seasons their defense led the league in turnovers. I guess they're not elite either.
