Coach Rankin has made them an ever better power house.

I went to greenback, the backwoods asbestos house where all the kids thought they were rich, because they wore Abercrombie or AE. lol
I was on the team at the jamboree against alcoa in like, 2000 or so, I didn't get to play, I just ended up inhaling a gnat and getting a nasty sinus infection.

Ha! I still live in Alcoa and go to a few games every year. I'm really familiar with Greenback. I used to freelance for the Daily Times and I covered a Cherokees game or two.

Heard they did well the past couple of seasons, way better than back in my day. Old coach satterfield wentvto sequoyah HS now, wonder if he still gets pissed and calls the player a bunch of pussies.... :p

I watched Cobb and Brian Sommer play a lot in high school for Alcoa. I bet Brian Sommer is kicking himself right now.

ESPN's Paul Kuharsky believes the Titans could target free agent OLB Jason Worilds.

Worilds spent the last five seasons under new Titans assistant head coach/defense Dick LeBeau. Tennessee is in the market for edge rushers with Derrick Morgan a free agent and Kamerion Wimbley a candidate for release. Worilds made $9.75 million under the transition tag last year and is going to be a difficult re-sign for the Steelers, who have one of the NFL's worst cap situations.

Agreed. I would guess it's Bowman but his injutry concerns me as to how well he has recovered. I haven't watched them this year when he was back on the field so not really sure how he is. Best thing for both sides might be a 'prove it' one year contract. I'd take a gamble with little downside.

Honestly, only way any of them leave (Bryant, Thomas or even Cobb) is if they are not franchised and want the biggest bucks. If they want to win champiosnips, they would stay where they are. Maybe except Thomas. If Peyton retires, he won't know who his QB is....

If we were a 4-3 D, I'd agree with DL. However, in a 3-4, the LB corp is the heart of the D. In a 2 gap 3-4 D sure you want a giant NT that is immoveable, but we aren't playing that system so the run fits are the more important variab;e along with a pass rush from the OLB's...which we don't have.

OL, LB and of course...any time you can add a fantastic talent...you do it (Leonard Williams, Shelton, or via free agency).

    IIRC Bowman never even returned.

I would absolutely take a shot at him, but I doubt they let him go. That seems pretty unlikely IMO. He's had an entire year to heal now. Unless he's having that bad of a recovery, they'll want him back.
