Titans sign Dick LeBeau

    Maybe I am too old school in thinking the DC should be running the defense. The Titans seems to like bringing in experienced coaches and giving them lofty titles to cover up the inabilities of their coordinators.

    Tom Moore didn't do much to fix the Loggains' offense in '12. Williams was brought in the fix Gray's D and that was a train wreck. Now we're tossing in LeBeau to cover for another bad hire.

    I'm good with LeBeau but have no idea why they'd keep Horton if they don't have confidence he's the man for the job.

    I hope this move is for more recruitment than actual play calling.

    Anyone know if there is a Presser scheduled today to announce this? Will be interested to see who is at the presser, Webster, Whiz and Horton or Webster and Tommy.

    They are just trying to recreate the magic they had in Pitt. Whiz, Dick, and Horton were all present for their superbowl win in '05.

    I feel like there's a decent chance the Titans only hired LeBeau because he's one of the few football coaches Tommy Smith has actually heard of.

    Do you think a lot of of the LeBeau hire is for "buzz"? Hard for me to believe that Whiz or RW have lost any faith in Horton after only year one.
