Domestic violence is not usually a one time thing. It is a recurring thing!!! If you spend $15mil a year on him and then he gets caught doing the same kind of thing, we might be able to get our cap space but have no dominant pass rusher...back to square one! Way too much of a risk.

Only way I see someone smart doing this (smart would be to not sign him but let's say they are desparate) would be to get him for like $3mil/yr. You can walk away from that and he's not killing your cap. I still think someone will give him $10mil-15mil but I wouldn't!

First, PFF ratings I ignore as they are just as subjective as what anyone else thinks. Most people think Harrison won't go anywhere, Steelers don't want Worilds for what he wants but they will sign Moats and go after McPhee. I don't see Harrison coming here though I'd take him as a backup and someone to set the tone in the LB room and to show what it takes to be great! Worilds would have to be a late signing as no way do I touch him in the first few weeks of free agency. If someone else wants him for $10mil...have fun. I don't even want to pay him $6mil. I'd take Worilds, Morgan, McPhee or someone along those lines on the cheap side...whoever is left standing towards the end of free agency. I have not scouted these guys so until I do, I don't see any of them that much different.

I do NOT want JPP. I live in NY so I am subjected to everything Jets and Giants. JPP had 8.5 sacks COMBINED the previous 2 seasons. After a lackluster start this year...like 3.5 sacks halfway thru the season, he finished with 12.5 feasting on bad teams with backup QB's playing...Washington, Tennessee, Jags and Eagles (though they are a good team with Sanchise at QB). Only 3.5 of his sacks (over 2 games) were what you want. They were against playoff teams with their starting QB...Arizona and Dallas. JPP will want big money based on his age, 12.5 sacks this year and the 16 he had a few years ago. He has a history of back problems and that's a major medical flag for a tall pass rusher who has to constantly bend and apply force thru his back!!! Someone will over pay for him and it MAY be the Giants if no one else shows him the money he's hoping for. We won't get him unless we are the highest off on the table and that will be north of $10mill a year...perhaps more. No thank you.

I think it will!!! Too many solid OLB's in this draft where I'd hope people aren't chasing Worilds down for huge money.

Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, so apologies if it has. I stumbled across this today and thought it was pretty cool. It let's you play GM. They also simulate a mock draft every year. The only thing I don't like is they have Derrick Morgan under contract for next year, even though he is a FA.

I wonder if we will target ILB at all in free agency... Brandon Spikes, Rolando McClain, David Harris, & AJ Hawk are all available. I'd love to cut Woodyard and pair one of those FAs w/ Williamson. I'd use Brown as our #3 ILB and situational OLB.

Spikes is my favorite. He's a 2-down linebacker, plays around 60% of the defensive snaps. He's a smashmouth/downhill ILB (which LeBeau likes). He's only 27 (rec'd 1y/3m deal last year and is looking for a multiyear deal). Woodyard somehow got a 4 yr(s) / $15,750,000 deal last year, cut him, and give a 3yr/$9m deal to Spikes.

10x better than Woodyard, still don't trust Brown. I know you love him. That 1 quarter he played this season was REAL impressive... haha

Ton of players could be getting cut, here's an article w/ players on the "bubble":

On the bubble: 28 NFC players who could be cut - NFL.com

    Some of the bigger names:

Percy Harvin, Dwayne Bowe, Mike Wallace, Trent Richardson, LaMarr Woodley, Cortland Finnegan, Michael Griffin, Greg Jennings, Haloti Ngata, Marques Colston, Jake Long, Andy Levitre, Steven Jackson, Adrian Peterson, Patrick Willis or Navorro Bowman, Pierre Garcon, Darnell Dockett, Tamba Hali, Troy Polamalu...

I would like either of the 49ers ILBs, Ngata, or Darnell Dockett. Could see Polamalu/Woodley coming here for LeBeau.
