Just took the dog for a walk and I would urge all my Gotitans friends and foes alike not to drive today if you do not have to. Didn't fall but it was an adventure with the light covering of snow over the 1/2 inch of ice we have here in middle Tennessee. Only going to get worse until it rains Saturday. Be careful.

I feel bad for you all. I live up north now and we get this a lot, but we also have road departments that are budgeted to handle this. Although I have lived in the midwest and upper midwest for the majority of my life, the two worst "driving conditions" winter storms occurred when I lived down south.....1994 when I lived in western Kentucky and 2004 when I lived in Greenville, South Carolina. In 1994 the area was basically shut down for several days. Untreated roads after a snow/ice storm are very dangerous.

Hang in there...and good call on the PSA here IMO.

The worst part is hearing all the northerners say stupid things about 'snow'.

Oh well, stay safe to anyone affected by it.

Yeah, but you have to live upside down. LOL And don't you mean 27 degrees?

If it's still icy the best tool to have is a flame thrower, seriously. Home Depot sells them for $50, melts ice in seconds, just don't use it near your car.

This is the worst I can remember since about 2003... And I don't think that was nearly as bad.

Got back home around 2-3am Monday... Haven't driven since.

Probably getting down below 0 tonight. My heat will definitely go out. Happened to me last year in Knoxville when it was -1.

Luckily I have enough food... but just barely. I've been rationing. I guess I could order pizza if I had to, but I don't wanna make some poor kid drive.

Can't wait until Saturday. I can't take this sh*t much longer.

    Lmao. Can't be serious...

The problem is that all the roads are covered in thick ice... we can't just go walk out and clear them all with flame throwers.
