I see where you're coming from, however, the Titans can't draft by need or they will always be bad.

They have to draft the best player available at the time. If Gordon is (some how) there at 33 the Titans can't let him slide.

Very true about bpa, but I'd like to see Webster manipulate the draft some and walk away with 4 starters

We can do that if RB is our 3rd or 4th move

I can't wait to start this conversation up again after free agency you know.
If Webster can address DT, CB, and Pass rusher before the draft, every round sorta changes up you know.

Say the Titans get Houston or Orakpo and Maxwell ( some how haha) then you can take the pressure off of the number 33 pick. It's not as crucial and the Titans can look at someone like DGB or one of those top CB

If they can come out of the draft with 4 starters, every Titan fan should be thrilled haha- fingers crossed

I like Ingram myself, and started watching him early last season. It would be great if we could get him, as taking a RB early is not ideal for the Titans, unless they end up with multiple early picks, and then.... Still not so sure. I agree that anyone we take early should eventually project into a starter, and pick #33 should immediately at least be a first-round talent that fell out of the round. Anything less and I will feel abject and bitter disappointment.

That's why I'm predicting we pickup a FA RB.

Demarco runs high as well. I think he's a good comparison.

Slinging 4m a year to Ingram sounds like a good idea, we are going to have to use this 40+m, I think ingram is a major upgrade. I can defiantly see this happening.

Plus I took him 7th round last year in my keeper league and he was marvelous.

    Oi vei!!!

So if the best player available in rnds 2-4 are all RB's, we should draft 3 rb's? This is what you're suggesting when you say draft BPA and why BPA alone is horribly wrong!

You know that isn't quite what he meant Gut. I do agree with your sentiment though. We should draft the individual that is highest on our board in an area of need that will have a definite impact in improving the overall team ( throw a dart at the wall for that). For us IMO that will be a pass rusher, wide receiver, NT, OL. We need a strong Nose at some point that can swallow the middle, and we need to be able to get to the opposing QB. Honestly, we have so many needs that we could literally improve nearly every position on this team. Hopefully the FA pickups will help, because we are in some pretty real poverty right now.

there is no way that gordon will be there at 33, but with gurley there is a better possibility after coming back from injury. if gurley is there at 33 i dont see how you can pass up a top 10-15 talent that dropped due to injury
