I know who he is lol. Just hoping he turns out to be a hybrid of AJ Green and Odell Beckham. Kind of like a love child.

Trading the second pick if Mariota is there... Will probably be the best for us. If Winston is there... I'm afraid we should take him.

Mariota is making fans at the combine and killing his interviews. That's lovely and his raises the kids price.

Sell him high. Jets, Browns, Eagles. For as much as possible.

Take the Rams approach and build a strong team thru the high pick and drag this out a bit.

    Exactly!

CBS Sports' Dane Brugler reports Oregon QB Marcus Mariota has been "wowing" in his team meetings at the Combine.

Brugler reports Mariota has been impressing teams "and them some." Combine interviews can be a critical part of the draft process, especially for quarterbacks. Mariota was always expected to interview well, but it can only be good for his draft status that he's hitting them out of the park.

Mariota has also gained healthy weight. I believed he weighed in at the 225 area.

Winston had to drop weight. His weight has been fluctuating since his freshman year.

All good news for the Titans. If Winston is there at 2, I honestly believe you have to take him.

Rams are stuck with being mediocre.

they are missing the most important piece to any franchise, a QB.

Even if we build a decent defense and Mett is not the guy, we are back to being that 7-9,8-8,9-7 team missing out on the playoffs.

im sure some fans would die to be back at that position, each year thinking this is the year we make the push.

If they truly believe in Mett than you go Defense all day.

From ESPN, so take it for what you will:

Getting beyond Winston: If the Buccaneers do select Winston, what comes next? One GM said he thought Tennessee would be the type of team to stand pat and select a player at No. 2 without getting cute. He pointed to Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt's background with Pittsburgh and GM Ruston Webster's roots with Rich McKay in Tampa when explaining why he thought Tennessee might be more conservative.

"Then I think Jacksonville becomes an interesting team at No. 3," this GM said. "Let's say Amari Cooper or some defensive lineman is there. Do they just play their cards?" The GM seemed to feel that Jacksonville was far more likely to trade down at No. 3 than Tennessee at No. 2.

I'm not trying to argue either.. Just saying, don't draft him for the wrong reasons. He'd definitely sell jerseys and put asses in seats again, which scares me that ownership might force it on us.. When you draft a QB #2, you invest so much.. I don't want the promise but that he's slightly better than what we have.. That isn't worth spending 4-5 years on(what you spend on a first round QB VY/Locker)..

Again, if they truly believe he's a franchise QB for 10+ years, pull the trigger.

Drafting Taylor Lewan last year (BPA) makes me feel strongly we'll select Williams #2. Clearly BPA.

Interesting that Jeremiah was Fowler to us at 2. I wouldn't absolutely HATE that. I strongly feel Fowler will be the best edge rusher in this draft, and be more productive than Gregory, Ray, Beasley or Dupree. Fowler has a tremendous work ethic and attitude, and the right defensive coach (LeBeau) would love coaching this guy up to a double digit sack artist.

I prefer we take Williams, but actually wouldn't HATE Fowler. I'd HATE Gregory, for example (BUST)

The thing that makes me feel good going into this is that the team has been honest that we are not buying met just yet.

Anything is an option for us. If we get the deal we can't refuse I feel we take it.

And yes still missing the qb is a cause for concern but if Winston isn't there... I try and sell Mariota because I don't feel he is the fix. The dude is screen city and whiz is a vertical pSsing game.
