Morgan a priority in FA

Actually Im not so sure thats true, he seemed excited about being a LB this year, and he played it pretty well.

 

Keep that number closer to $20M and we got a deal, $30M for Morgan? Pass

 

This is the franchise that tagged Michael Griffin then gave him an absurd amount of money. I wouldn't put it past them.

With that said...

 

I won't be upset either way, if we lose him or not. I've always wondered how good he would be with a stud pass rusher opposite him. Like if he had Justin Houston on the opposite side to take attention away from him, if it would help his sack numbers at all? I feel like Morgan may be a victim of a poor team around him.

 

If we want things turned around we are not in the position to lose our top players we already have enough holes to fill. Krueger makes 8 per year and Barwin makes 6 per year. Those are two of the more recent 3-4 outside linebacker contracts.

20 mil is more ideal but market might push it higher.

 

Don't want to overpay. But wouldn't mind keeping him.
