throws across his body way too much to the other side of the field. Bad habit he needs to break.

Manning and Luck were once in a decade type prospects though. Most highly drafted QBs have question marks.

Yeah- I'm concerned about that . But I'm encouraged at how they've handling it thus far.

I'm in the camp that there is just no draftee worth the #2 pick this year. I'm not buying the Williams/JJ Watt comparisons. I'd be most disappointed if we settle for him (although he IS a very GOOD player) because the potential to fix so MANY problems we have with personnel is available.

I think if we can trade no further back than the #12 spot we'll be able to come out ahead if we can land next years 1st and 2nd rounds, this years 2nd +/-3rd rounds. If we trade w/ Browns- get BOTH their 1st rounds this year and next years 1st round, maybe a 3rd this year. Rams/Jets- similar but obviously without the 2 first round this year.

Couple of things we really need are for both Winston and Mariota to look sharp all pre-draft and continue to intimate we'll take QB. So far so good in that respect. I also think we might have to take Mariota to make it work. I'm that confident the Jets/Browns/Eagles will come with a trade for him after that. It really is do or die for Webster. He HAS to do something drastic to repair the personnel mess he has us in right now.

And some mid round QBs have succeeded...so unless there is a Manning or Luck at 2 imo you take a difference maker...who in this draft is a difference maker now?

Yep. This is a good "depth" draft with several "good" starters. No clear top the draft talent IMO.

To be honest I don't really care who we take at 2 or if we trade down as long as we can say that was a great draft pick ....whether that's now or in a couple of years. When was the last time we said that? This team has fudged too many lately.

Leonard Williams is a difference maker right away. So is Danny Shelton.. Cooper, Fowler. But Williams is #1

As for ? on QBs, most have them, yes. I'd be okay with Winston #2, but I prefer Williams. Anyway, Winston is going #1. Mariota isn't the way to go for us.

He has many fundamental issues that need addressed. That's just a drop in the pond imo.

His lack of real football is my biggest concern

I like Fowler.Williams, or Shelton. Bring in an instant impact and attitude for lebeau and Horton to work with. Snag a FA QB and have him compete with Mett. If Mett loses or sucks, draft another QB next year. If they aren't sold on Mariota or Winston and can't get a good enough trade, this is how you do it.
