So today you would not take Suh at #2 ??? If you answer no to that question you are silly. I am sorry. I do not mean to come across as an ass, but the truth of the matter is Suh is an impact player that made the Lions much better the day he started.

I am not saying that Williams is a Suh, but you cannot say no DT is worth taking at #2. Very recent history proves you wrong.

I would say anyone would take a Suh type player at #2 over Mariotta. That is my opinion of course and everyone has their own.

Players like Suh & Williams rarely come along. That is why they are taken highly regardless of their position. All the bad things people are saying about Williams was said about Suh as well. He is a defensive difference maker. If you do not trade back, which I hope we do; then you take Williams.

And saying take Mariotta to use in a trade is NUTS!!!

Once you have him picked why would ANYONE offer you anything great for him. Then they really have leverage on you. They know you have a player you have no intention of using or you would not be shopping him around.

THAT is a wasted pick & something like Webster would probably do. It is that type of thinking that causes huge roster issues. IF you think he can be a Franchise QB, then you take him, put him on the field to compete with Mett and see how it turns out. You do not pick him just to trade him. That's crazy.

Everyone refers to the Eli pick & trade. However no one ever mentions that Eli told the team he did NOT want to play for them. The deal was made before the pick, it was merely a trade of picks between the two teams.

You are wrong on the Eli trade....no deal was made until the Giants were on the clock...here is a link to how it went down...good read as this could happen with us...

Requires finesse and balls of steel. Does Webster have them? He better because if he doesn't land a blockbuster trade he's toast. No way IMO does simply playing conservative and taking Williams bring enough to the team to save his job.

The problem is the general census is the Titans are passing on a QB, we need to change that.

What we need to do is propagate the idea that we are getting calls from multiple teams who want to trade up for a chance to get a can't miss QB prospect. As long as 2 teams really want a QB then they know they have to trade with us. They can't risk us trading out with the other team.

We need Mariotta and Winston to keep having great pre draft workouts and meetings.

That's true, it's either Mariota or trade back. That simple, IMO. Don't get me wrong I love Leo, but we have so many bigger needs than 34 DE.

I can't really say that the Jags are forcing us to do anything. TN is so ultra conservative they are just letting people know to start bringing offers since we will probably go Williams if going by past history. Jags are actually in a very good position. They will trade out if we pick Williams or will take Williams if we trade out. They will pick up extra picks this year and in the future and also get a top 6-12 pick with a trade.
