Wes Anderson is about as divisive a filmmaker as there is. You either appreciate his style or you don't. There is no right or wrong when it comes to art/entertainment (whatever you wanna lean towards calling it).

Rushmore is one of my favorite films. I really enjoyed Life Aquatic and Tenenbaums as well. There's just something charming about those movies that I can appreciate but most of all I enjoy them for the humor. Darjeeling Limited was just okay. Haven't seen Budapest or even Moonrise Kingdom.

I appreciate the art of WA films and I do like his stuff thru Life Aquatic.
The Grand Budapest for me was just Wes Anderson overload.
That style only remains cute for so long then you just want to punch it in the face. That, for me happened with Grand Budapest..

I'd still vote John Waters for divisive filmmaker of the modern era..

Yeah I can totally understand that opinion. Obviously it has worn somewhat thin on me as well considering I haven't gone out of my way to see any of his recent films. But I'll always love those early films.

Yea like I was saying... A ton of plot holes and ridiculousness.

But I still really enjoyed it.
