Well, IF we take Williams, it's the chance of Pro Bowl DE (Williams) plus Mett's chances at becoming a good to great NFL QB.....versus Mariota's chance to be a Pro Bowl DE's value MORE than Mett's value.

I agree, a Kings ransom will be hard to pass up.

Yeah. He has a crazy first step. He is a great pass rusher.

Georgia Tech this year. Smelter. He also only had 1 tackle that wasn't a sack in a 3 week period against NC State, BC, and Louisville. He isn't active or productive against the run. It isn't a skill or strength thing. It is his demeanor.

As long as we don't trade the pick with the expectations that mettenberg is our future. Dude is garbage. Someone that cocky better be able to back it up and he doesn't.

With that said, if we can get a trade that is similar to that rg3 trade, I would definitely be down.

this team has so many needs that it would be dumb not to capitalize on a trade like that. That plus the fact that mariota and Winston both have huge question marks makes that an easy decision if you ask me.

At what point did I say he was better? I just said that I like his play and that he could be effective. In fact, I said I like LW mainly because he can play both inside and out. If they go pass rusher, I personally like Beasley or Fowler. Stay away from Gregory. I think if they go Defense, there is no question they roll with BPA which is LW.

Mariota is to raw, doesn't fit the system, and doesn't have enough help around him to be successful. I have accepted that we are in the rebuild phase and may not be good for a while. That said, we take BPA and start turning this thing around via draft/FA. If Mett and a FA QB don't pan out this year, you go all in on a QB in 2016.

Agreed, the gap in value points between #2 and #6 is A LOT! Give us your 2nd, 3rd, and 2016's 1st.

I wrote that post quoting you saying that Jerrmiah's draft was ideal and in that mock he gave us Fowler. So that is why I took it that you wanted Fowler over LW. If you want LW at #2, then that would be your ideal. Would you prefer LW or a trade down?

Honestly gut, I would love a trade down, but not crazy far back. We have so many holes to fill and I feel like there is some nice depth this year. We could ravage a team for Mariota, who quite possibly may not pan out depending on his situation. Just imagine the potential....That said, I think they have to roll with LW if they don't get a trade they like. He is the most versatile and quite possibly the BPA in the entire draft. Take this year and kill it with the draft and in FA. Then we put ourselves in a position to A) see what Mett can do with talent around him and B) Create a better situation for a top tier rookie in 2016 if they have to draft one. I still think they will grab a QB this year, maybe mid round. I like the sound of that more than rolling the dice on 1 QB

I think a good coach is going to get a lot out of Fowler.. His tape showed a lot of plays he should have finished off (sacks) that he didn't...that should come with timing + good coaching. He's quite versatile; played inside, outside, OLB.. He's a complete player imo.

I'm not really saying he's better than Beasley.. they're different. I do think Fowler will be better vs the run at the pro level than Beasley will be.
