Not sure I Could bring myself to root for Jameis. I think Mettenberger can be solid if they surround him with a good OL and some talented skill guys. Fix the defense and other holes. IMO.

There is no third option... unless you want to throw in Mariota or Petty as options. I don't. I'd definitely rather roll with Mett than either of them.

Wouldn't mind taking Brandon Bridge (to be our 3rd string QB) late in the draft... He's a project QB for sure, but has a ton of potential. If he's there in the 6th, take him.

2/3. Mett/Hoyer

I realize most don't want to overpay Cutler but Whiz has done some great things with Vets who weren't living up to their potential in the past.. also we have the cap space to take him on, and if the bears are trying to get rid of him they might even give US a pick to take him because of his contract. Worst case scenario we have a mediocre Veteran QB with tons of experience, that loves Tennessee.

If the bears keep Cutler, obviously I'd like to sign Hoyer and then let him "battle" with Mett in camp, although I would like Mett to ultimately win that battle, it would be nice to have a usable backup in case Mett is made of glass like Locker was.

Either of these scenarios would leave us picking Williams with the #2 which I would really like to see. No Winston, I'll accept Mariota if the coaching staff is absolutely sold on him but I won't be upset if we don't take him.
