    Speaking of FreeAgents...

Does this Dick hiring help us recruit Defensive FA's more? I find it hard to believe a player may just come to us just because of him being here.

But if they do this could be the best coaching move we've ever made!

Will players leave money on the table to play for him? Probably not. But I'd say there are plenty of players that would love to play for him, as long as everything else is right.

Oh no i agree. We definitely dont get a discount.

But, if it does come between us and another team I'm hoping Dick gives us the advantage.

I think he does give the advantage. Hopefully, more so than just a name, but with revitalizing the defense also.

I wont argue they weren't, in fact in all my pre-draft posts here I was a huge fan of taking either Hyde or Hill, Sankey was my 4th RB, but landing Sankey's level of skill at 54th overall and also picking up an extra pick that netted us Marqueston Huff was a sly move on Websters part.

IDK how much you follow Marqueston Huff, but he's a nice little gem if you ask me. He could very well fight for the 2nd CB job this year.

Its way too soon to say whether or not that trade back for Sankey and Huff was the right move, but honestly its encouraging to see our GM flip a pick for 2 potential starters down the road.

The reasoning for hiring him was to help Webster identify 3-4 players. Most of Websters career has been as a 4-3 scout/GM. Dick coming in will show Webster what a 3-4 really needs to thrive.

Im sure Webster can figure out a 3-4 OLB needs to be 240-260lbs 6'3"+ on his own, but passed that the 3-4 concept is a bit foreign to the guy I believe. He's just trying to better himself and this team by adding Dick.

At least thats what Webster has led us to believe. I haven't heard that the move is to better the defense, but to better our scouts and Webster himself.

I just hope it doesn't lead to every washed up ex-Steeler player coming here. I'll take Worilds. However, guys like Taylor, Harrison, Polamalu/Kesiel/other potential cuts I want nothing to do with unless it's close to Vet minimum. They all offer very little at this point other than leadership and depth.

Polamalu wouldn't be terrible, wouldn't be that great either, but he's got something left, I wouldn't hate having him for a year til we get a better SS in there. This free agency just doesn't turn up many good options.

There is Nate Allen from the Eagles tho, he's a solid SS I'd be good adding to the team.

Speaking of FA I wouldn't want, I think I want to add SS Stevie Brown from the Giants to my list.
