I would love to see the analytics of 'La Vagician'

It would be hilarious seeing the angles he takes plotted against the perfect angle.

Have a couple issues with this.

    1. How much more valuable can analytics be in football? Moneyball was basically analytics hitting the mainstream but there are a few problems. Analytics was already being used but each team used them in different ways. The A's went for the bold move of runs scored because of their insanely low budget at the time. So, how would the Titans actually become beneficiaries from more analytics?

    2. I'm also stuck in thinking that football analytics are all that valuable. There is a lot more value in baseball, basketball (something that is just now being heavily considered), and even hockey is catching up over the past handful of years. So for the Titans to actually invest more time and money into it, actually come up with a feasible strategy and then actually implement the strategy seems pretty far fetched to me. Also, considering we're the Titans, the chances of success would be pretty low.

Basically, if the Titans would just use more common sense then I don't see this being that big of a deal. I have more issues with how to implement the stats you come up with than the actual use of analytics.

I finally read the analytics magazine. I think a lot of Titan's rating is tied to re-signing Chris Johnson... and they seem to think that they are going to try to sign DeMarco Murray.

Some franchises are clearly into this stuff, like the 76ers and the Rockets, but the justification for a lot of teams is pretty off the wall.

At least tell the whole story.

The Browns reportedly paid $100,000 on a study that aimed to predict which QB would succeed in the NFL. The study produced a result that said the Browns should draft Teddy Bridgewater.

Then Jimmy Haslam threw out the study and drafted Johnny Manziel.

Analytics mean nothing if you don't know how to apply the results that are produced.

Not that drafting Teddy Bridgewater would have been much better of an idea ... right @JCBRAVE ?
