My company bank sponsored a free lunch at my office today and one of the bank reps turned out to be and Ex Titan linebacker with the initials of D.S. (in case he's a member here). Of course I had to get some Titans questions in after the lunch.
What I was able to get was:
    - Titans are failing the local community and need to step up local charity and other activities to the level that was occurring during the early years. This is a failure of current coaching and management.
    - Titans shouldn't draft QB or DL but go after one of the two receivers. Has faith in Mett.
Great receiver will make all other elements of the offense click.
    - Titans players of the Super Bowl period loved and respected Fisher greatly (yup) - and that culture is definitely missing in current 'coaching regime' though the addition of Lebeau will definitely help in this dept.
    - tackling Brett Farve too hard as rookie will get you smacked in the face by a clump of Lambeau mud by the man himself.

Cruds is leaving out vital information, or purposefully leading us in the wrong direction

we didn't have a LB with the initials D.S.

biggest part of this news is that a former NFL player found a real job. I thought most of them just sat around until they ran out of money.

The WR comment is interesting. He has a point but of course you have to actually take the right guy to have that kind of impact. Drafting WRs has certainly not been a strong point for this organization thus far.

you also have to take into account that this fellow played special teams in 1997 and 1998 for the franchise, and has 6 career tackles: so he may be no more connected with the franchise than we are, still cool for Cruds to meet him though. I have no recollection of him, but I didn't start watching until I was in 8th grade in 1999.

I mostly put DS because there are a lot of exTitans in the area - they all know each other and probably dont want their fan-shared smalltalk a over the web.
He was a depth LB but he still wears a championship ring during his year w The Ravens - which is pretty cool..
