I bet the Eagles become major players in free agency, then do everything they can to move up for Mariota.

I would do that trade.

If we don't want Foles then the eagles will be able to trade him to re-coup some of the draft picks that they give up to get Mariota.

To me it is hard to figure out what happened to Foles last yr. He goes from only throwing 2 INTs to being a turnover machine. Is it that Foles regressed that much or is it that DCs have more tape on the Eagles offense and are defending it better. He is a big strong armed QB that Whiz seems to like. I would have no problem with Foles and Mett battling for the starting spot. If they both fail then we have extra picks to move up and keep trying to land our guy.

We have said that we are going to add another QB...a draft day trade for a vet could be the way we do it.

 

The Jaguars will end up being the beneficiary of the Eagles positioning themselves to jump up to grab Mariota if that is indeed what they are wanting to do.

Our dumb ass FO won't play the game long enough to even have teams realistically thinking we'd take Mariota at two.

Jaguars roll on, we look dumb.

 

I am still not sold on the fact that we have absolutely zero interest in Mariota. Do I want him?....Not really, but I am telling you, as it gets closer, the pressure will be on. (Unless they land a trade or FA in the meantime or something).

 

Wouldn't mind that deal, depending on what we do in Free Agency.

 

I've been trying to figure Foles out as well. I have two close friends that are Eagles fans and they love him. I haven't watched enough Philly ball to truly see if he's talented or if it's Chips scheme. Regardless, would you rather have Foles or another 2nd? I'd probably take Foles, he's better than any QB thaty'll be there in the 2nd and brings competition to Mettenberger. Let the best QB win. That trade would leave us with 6 top-100 picks: #20, #33, #52, #66, #84, and #97 . I still think Eagles would be smarter to wait for us to take Leonard Williams and try to trade with Washington, just before NYJ at 6. Hopefully Chip goes all-in on Mariota and doesn't want to risk that.

Not even sure I would consider that dreaming. I mean it isn't likely, but I don't think it is crazy to think we could end up with something like that.
