It sounds like he may somewhat regret taking the money route. He lost his love for the game and gave it up because it wasn't fun any more. On the other hand, he's 33, retired and should have plenty of money in the bank...so I'm sure he's at peace with it. :D

IDK how much money he really has, didn't he have to pay back some of his signing bonus to the Redskins? Also, he lived a pretty expensive lifestyle as a player, how much was this boat he bought?

He may be broke. I was just going off of the fact that he signed a 100mil contract. I'm sure that a couple hundred grand worth of boat.

I've heard people on 104.5 say that the Titans and Haynesworth were just $1 million apart on negotiations at one point on a multi-year deal. That's sad to think about if it's true.

He never seemed like a guy who truly loved the game to me anyway. I think it's pretty clear he was all about the money.

Ive heard Haynesworth say we were $34M away.

We offered him $36M over 4 years, he ended up signing $100M over 7 years

The year I'm referring to wasn't the year he was let go, it was before 2008 before we franchised him. I think it was the negotiations at that time they were referring to. But when he had that monster year in 2008 his head got big and he thought he deserved more than we were offering.

IIRC the 1 million apart thing had to do with negotiations on a long term deal in his second to last year here.

Once he made it to his final year and free agency, they were worlds apart.

We need to ask him to prove it and bring him back for the vet minimum. At 33 he has tread left on the tires if he can get in shape. One year deal.
