I'm kinda with you on this. A team as bad as we are shouldn't be drafting #20. Even with extra firsts at the backend, who are we going to draft? Another Morgan? Griffin? Britt? Wright? (all first round picks of ours from the #16 range & on).. some of them turned out to be good(not great) players, but not good enough to change the course of this franchise.

Picking at 20, let's say 20-23 next year again, 20-23 again the year after (if we get 3 eagles first round picks likely all to be 20-25 range) we may get just decent players like the ones we've actually drafted in that range.. (I know these years will also have our own picks that will probably be early again but still)..

I'm just not 100% trading back would work out amazing for us. It could, considering we have so many holes, but isn't certain.

I rather pick Williams at #2 or even 1 of the QBs than trade back. I want Williams, but still rather take a swing on a QB than draft another alright to good player at 20 every year.

I agree as well unless they include Jordan Matthews and Kendricks

I like the trade offer though if the Jets or Browns or Rams have ANY real interest, I'd try to get Foles as a throw in...Ill give them CW back. Heck, Ill give them Levitre or Michael Griffen too.

The biggest problem is OLB and our pass rush as we don't have a dominant pass rusher. Dropping to 20 drops us out of range for the top guys most likely. I also would not be in favor of drafting Landon Collins in rnd 1. I would hope Bud Dupree is there or Trae Waynes or we take a big time WR or hope someone else good falls. Or we shock everyone and take a Melvin Gordon or a Hurley.

I'd rather sign Bulaga to start at RT and bring back Morgan for LOLB then sign Worilds. If we are seriously considering trading out and dont have any trade partners for LW, then maybe we go all in on Suh!

I think Chip is more apt to trade awy offensive players as he thinks he can outscheme people to make up for difference in talent...which is why the spread and offenses like it were invented. But he is gonna be less happy about giving up defensive players...especially young, good, cheap ones!

There will be a very good player available at 20, we just don't know at which position it will be. We have enough holes that this shouldn't be a problem but will require us to make good decisions and spend in free agency to fill in some gaps with good players, not just stop gaps. unfortunately, it's not the number of picks or where we pick, it's WHO is doing the picking and signing of free agents that concerns me...which is another reason to just take LW and forget about the rest unless we can trade down with the Jets or Browns or chicago or rams..

Don't forget additional picks each round also allows us the option to trade up at opportunistic times. We have a better chance to land a player who has slipped for no reason other than lack of team need.

The only drawback to the above is it requires a skilled GM. I have little faith ours could pull it off in an advantageous manner for us.

This is the kind of return I'd be expecting if we moved back to #20. If they offer anything less than #20 + three future 1st round picks + a few 2nds/3rds, it's not as much of a no-brainer.

    Exactly. For me its:

    #1 - Winston
    #2 - No-brainer trade
    #3 - Leonard Williams

That simple. Although, I still do love Dante Fowler haha

Could the Jets be a possible trade partner for us. Everyone seems to think the Eagles are making moves to trade up and get ahead of the Jets. If the Jets are so in love with Mariota is it possible that they trade up to 2 to keep Philly from attempting to leap frog them?

There will be a very good player at 20, but will we take the right guy? We might not take the right guy at 2 either, but your chances at getting a great player increase greatly at 2 vs 20 obviously.
