The Oakland Raiders and Rodney Hudson have agreed to a five-year, $44.5 million contract that will make him one of the NFL's highest-paid centers, a source confirmed to ESPN.com's Bill Williamson.

Even the Raiders are starting to make moves, our FO NEEDS TO START!

"NFL doesn't want teams/players agreeing to terms or announcing it. Titans are rules followers. Free agency officially opens 3:01 Tues. That doesn't mean Titans have something done or close to done. But if they did, odds are low we'd hear about it early."

I'm by no means making excuses for Webster.... if I had my way he'd be handing in his resignation right now. BUT you do gotta keep in mind that landing FA's is a two way street.

We aren't the only team with money to spend. We aren't the only team with a nice city to offer. If you were a top FA and even remotely cared about winning Super Bowls why in the holy hell would you choose the Tennessee Titans?

I'm disappointed we didn't get McCourty but who can really blame him? He chose the far and away best franchise in the league over one of the bottom 2 or 3. Sorry, but "playing with his brother" was simply not the big draw most Titan fans hoped it would be.

Really Webster is in a tough position. He really doesn't have much incentive to draw in FAs aside from money. And if he goes around overpaying everyone just to sign them then he's gonna get roasted for handing out stupid contracts. FTR, I don't feel bad for him one bit. He's played a major part in why the franchise is in the current state it is in.
