Titans to sign Da'Norris Searcy

T.J. Ward was just shy of 6 mil per year last of season, Whitner got 7 and Bethea just over 5. No issue paying Searcy 6.

 

I don't think it's that bad. Veteran market value goes up every year. The new CBA made that happen. Overall, it's still a positive because there's less risk on rookie draft picks.

I don't think 4 year/$24mil is too much... Especially considering it's probably structured to pay the $10.5mil guaranteed the first two years... so that we can cut him after that if he sucks. And when you consider that we absolutely have to overpay for players. We have to outbid other teams. We're seen as (and are) a bottom 5 organization.

More worried about Douglas' contract.

 

That's what I've been seeing too, but it's the Titans. Gotta overpay in free agency.

 

I love this signing. Even at 6 a year. We need to upgrade this team and I don't see this as overpaying by that much.

 

If the Titans want to actually bring in talent, be prepared to pay for it.

6 mil for a very good Safety (according to Bills fans) is totally fine with me. I rather spend 6 mil on him then Michael Griffin. Like RSB said, we should be more worried about what our new #3 WR may make.

But they were just talking about the Jags and in their free agency report, it said "Expected to sign Da'Norris Searcy"

Did something just change?

 

Looks like more than useless Griffin has done since his garbage time pick 6 against the Steelers in 08.
