It's not like we don't have the money. Give him 5 years 40 million but make it incentive based.

I understand the injury concern, but I think there's a difference in bad luck and injury prone. He had two nasty injuries in six seasons. I don't necessarily view that as injury prone. It's football, injuries happen. Now you can call locker and mccarthy injury prone, but I'm not sure orakpo deserves that title just yet.

Had he had those injuries his first two seasons instead of the past 3, he'd be getting close to 15 mil a year.

If we could get hardy and orakpo we'd be getting two of the best pass rushers in the nfl (not taking anything else into consideration). This team needs to take a risk like This.

 

I can understand the apprehensiveness of not wanting to burn money on an injury-prone guy BUT give it a shot. We are pathetic. We have to take a chance on some of these guys. Orakpo has played well and as long as we don't give this guy A-list money it could end up being a really good signing.

Assuming that we're gonna grossly overpay and that it's a given that he'll bust isn't the way I'm looking at this.

 

I never called him Kam I said we will end up giving him Kam money and get little in return reminiscent the Kam signing. He tore the same pec twice and has played a full season just twice in six years. The last three years he has missed 22 games. He had a whopping .5 sacks in 7 games last year. Yes let's sign that for 5 years at 8 mil a pop.
