Rumor Cards, Skins & Titans in on Orakpo

This is the type guy that is very good but has injury concerns. I say sign him. Our team is in horrible shape and in position to front load a 5 year deal with all of the guaranteed money in the first two years. He has shown that he can play on a pro bowl level and thats more than most of our players can offer.

This is a signing that could payoff huge. I mean, really we aren't very good so that allows us to take a few risks like this. If we sign Harrison that would help to have him as a backup plan. Hopefully we get Worilds and/or Hardy as well!

 

I'm all in on Orakpo. He's a high risk/high reward guy, and we're that desperate of a franchise. If we get Orakpo for atleast 12 games, he'll be in double digit sacks under LeBeau and blitzing behind Casey. I would love to land Orakpo and sign Worilds or resign Morgan. Really opens up draft options.

 

that's what i'm thinking. Sign Orakpo and go after Worilds still. Then sign Harrison on a vet min contact for 1yr. Finish it with a 4th rd OLB.

That's a pretty solid rotation. Plus, now we don't have to use an early round pick on an OLB. Allows us to find a CB, RT, RB, WR more early in the draft.
Could find an offensive playmaker in round 2 like a fallen Gurley/Gordon or maybe DGB?

 

Agree, that would be solid. Looking at your above post, is it really a high risk? Will we pay him that much? I mean it is an injury risk, but if we aren't paying a ton that takes a lot of that risk away.

I really want Hardy, but I don't know if he would play DE or OLB in our defense so it is tough to tell if he is a fit.

 

It's a high risk to pay a guy $7mil+ when he'll likely play less than half the season.

I'll take Hardy and Orakpo.

 

It wouldn't surprise me to see Jonathan Massaquoi make the roster and actually produce. I think he has upside.

 

Oh wow, he is getting that much? Then I agree. Still want him though. I also want Orakpo, but would be fine w/ Worilds as well.
