Man I miss having a stud SS nobody wanted to see across the line, we need Searcy to keep improving.

Don't know about salary but the consensus was 50/50 take or leave him and they watched him play second string until this past season when he rotated into first string due to injuries. But you right, why should we question what the titans Front office does. They're freaking geniuses.

Questioning the signing is one thing. Saying it's crap, crap, double crap, without ever seeing the guy play is another.

What's the alternative. Which SS are out there and available?
From what I understand, the safeties in the draft is pretty sucky.

I have NFL rewind and Im currently watching Searcy vs New England, and its looking like they used him a lot like we used Griffin last year. Im begging to wonder if he's gonna force Griffin out, making the same money and like people said, this much money for a run stopping SS is a lot.

Please let me be onto something football Gods...

His market went from being a SS who is very good against the run to a SS who is very good against the run but now that he has more playing time it turns out he's pretty good in coverage as well. I think we slightly overpaid because we think he can take that next step. He's only 26 and only has 1 year of starting under his belt, if he continues to improve then it's a great signing. If he holds where he's at then it's good. If he was just a flash in the pan then this sucks. I like to check out the other team's message boards after we get one of their guys. Not many had anything negative to say. Good player, good locker room guy but the Bills couldn't pay that much for him.

I don't mind the Searcy signing.

I think the Bills also could afford to lose him cause Duke Williams can probably take over his spot and be almost as productive and is younger.

Btw, he had several teams after him. So yes, not a bad day one signing.

If the Titans would of waited any longer he would of probably been snatched up.

Yeah. I don't expect him to be anything more than a #2. I see him and Wright just moving around the field. From what I've gathered, a lot like Searcy, he's a great locker room and guy in the community. Again, not a star level signing but doesn't mean it's a bad one.

Seems all the Falcons fans over there are genuinely happy to see him leave for a shot at more play time. They seem extra happy he's not in their division too..

Reviewing some old games of his I see he also fielded kicks and punts at one time, wonder if he'd be in the mix for those jobs, lord knows we need upgrades there as well.
