Lol... Peyton is a once in a lifetime player. There was no Peyton Manning in free agency this year.

Brandon Browner's contract was such a good deal that the Patriots are letting him "explore his options" and trying to make him take a pay cut.

Revis is also a once in a lifetime player but won't be worth all that money in a few years when his age catches up to him.

Thanks for trying though man! I don't think I'm the one making "ignant" statements buddy..

49ers career: He was merely supposed to be the Niners’ nickel defensive back last season but was forced into action when starting cornerback Tramaine Brocksuffered a toe injury in the opener at Dallas. Cox started a career high 14 games last year and his career-high five interceptions -- he had one in his career entering 2014 -- led the Niners.

Argument for keeping Cox: He stepped up early and became a fixture, as evidenced by his plus-6.7 coverage grade and 42.3 passer rating against in the first half of the season, per Pro Football Focus. So why not build on it and his newfound maturity? It’s paydirt for the 49ers.

Argument for letting Cox walk: He faded in the second half of the season, a minus-7.3 coverage grade and a 109.6 passer rating against, per PFF, so offenses figured him out as he wore down and a big payday would be a mistake. It’s fool’s gold for the 49ers.

A bold prediction: Cox, 28, may not command the type of money that younger fellow UFA CBChris Culliver will, and that’s OK with Cox, who is a fan of new coach Jim Tomsula and wants to return to Santa Clara and build on last year’s success. I think he returns.

I would MUCH rather see Culliver coming in for a visit. Why Are we going after a guy that is not as good as at least 3 other available options?? This makes no sense. There are better options. We have much much $$$$. Why not spend it on quality guys & not guys who struggled down the stretch??? I guess this is the aggressive side coming out. Over pay for mediocre talent as always. Another bust FA for Webster. FIRE HIM TOMMORROW PLEASE!!!

I'd rather sign Tramon Williams over Cox.

Williams can be our new Roderick Hood.

You literally just proved yourself wrong Lol...it's ok though

You set yourself up for that. SaYing a free agent signing hasn't helped a team out positively is pretty dumb. Nothing personal

Cox is a pretty good player and I'd like this signing, a lot.

We have to be considered the favorites for Orakpo now, and that's damn good too. We desperately need to add talent at OLB

IDK..... Cox fell off hard at the end of the season. He gave up like a 106 completion % in the last 1/2 of the season. Just read that somewhere....... Read so much lately can't remember where. I do not understand why we are not going for Culliver who is a younger/better player.

Much like Titanup1982 I would rather have Tramon Williams over Cox. Williams is older, but much more consistent.

We are gonna be in real trouble if we do not land Orakpo & another quality OLB...... I know there are options in the draft, but our roster is so horrible at OLB that we will not get it done in the draft. Especially considering we have so many other issues that we have not even attempted to address in FA.

Tommy Boy says, "We will be aggressive." If this is aggressive I would hate to see passive. This is the same old Titans. No sense of urgency at all. Makes me sick.

Orakpo is staying the night in TN having dinner with friends. He is leaving tomorrow without a contract for AZ to visit them. Per PK retweet.

WTF?? How can we let this guy leave w/o a contract??!! We are desperate for OLB/Pass Rush & we let one of the only decent remaining options walk out w/o a deal??? This FO/GM is a JOKE!!! This lack of a sense of urgency is disgusting!!!

You do understand that both sides have to agree to a contract right? They can't shove it in his face and make him sign it. Even if they offer a ton of money, wouldn't you want to explore your options instead of going to a 2-14 team? AZ is a better team and may offer him the same money or more. Only makes sense to make the rounds and see what the best option is for him.
