You make it sound as if these free agents don't have free will. Sometimes, trying is all you have the power to do. The player has to agree to accept the deal.

Now, if you want to say the Titans are unwilling to offer enough, then you will need to be specific to the player and the offer. All I know is what has been published in that the Titans' offer to some of these players have been very competitive but the player accepted a different offer for whatever reason.

"Buzz" means talk about the team RIGHT NOW. Any buzz generated right now only gets the fans to renew their season tickets.

    Putting words in my mouth?

You are the one implying it somehow guarantees something when it doesn't. Like drafting earlier, it only is as good as the people making the choices.

Again, effort doesn't equal results. You have no way of knowing if the reason a player hasn't signed with the Titans is because of a lessor offer or the player wanting to play with a contender, in a different city, in a different scheme, near family, etc.

Just lost out on Browner he went to the saints. We either couldnt get him to visit or did not try. The pool of players is going down each hour and we do nothing!

Well everything that you spend on hotel, restaurant, bar does not have an effect. NFL sunday ticket money stays with the NFL so that doesn't either. They make almost nothing on clothing. Tickets matter about 4-6 % on the bottom line. Titans will never not sell less than say 50,000 a game. So sorry, fans have little to 0 impact on the bottom line

Because they cant get a new stadium deal. New and improved stadiums bring in massive sponsorships $$$

And those sponsorships come when fans aren't in the stadiums?

There will always be fans at the games. Whether home or away fans. Titans will never have less than 40,000-50,000 fans at the games. Tickets will be sold. Fans can get as mad as they want, they will still make money. Prime example is the Jags. Their team is worth just under 1 billion. Their brand is worth 46 million of that. Under 5%. (per forbes)

    Ummmmm...OK.

I guess that, by your logic, the user of any product has no impact on the actual product's revenue....geez. Do my behaviors (X magnitudes of other people) impact revenue in a short term....probably not. But, by your model fan enthusiasm does not matter at all, which is just plain silly over a long term. Hence my comment about the term for successful operation of a crappy franchise with dwindling fan support.

I guess that TV revenue is not shared with teams in your model either (NFL Sunday Ticket money stays with the NFL...)? Do you not think that the owners track which teams contribute more to this overall revenue and pay no attention to dwindling markets? Get real......
