That above post with the quotes is pretty spot on. I remember Andrew Luck's pro day getting hit with some pretty heavy criticism but he turned out alright. I watched Manziel's last year and twitter and the "draft gurus" raved at how well his drills were but yet, the Browns are already moving on.

Go Mariota and get his boy Jake Fisher to sure up the RT position in the 2nd. Then go BPA at either OLB/WR/CB for the next 3 rounds.

this is why i form my own opinions, Gabbert, Manziel, 90% of this years QB's, all look like crap in the eyes of NFL fans...

People make the mistakes of using college production to gauge how well a guy will do in the NFL, mistake No.1, have to look beyond what he's done but at what can he get to...

Bridgewater had a dump of a pro day, but he is easily (imo) the best QB from last years class.

I dont't think his pro day exactly hurt his stock.

All I remember from Bridgewater's draft profile was his hand size. He fell from #1 to #32.

I honestly hate the Vikings now. They took Barr right before us and then trade up ahead of us and grab Bridgewater. That was supposed to be our draft.

Everyone keeps talking like best in last years class is something special LOL....someone had to win the beauty contest regardless of how ugly everyone was.

Bridgewater may have a good career, but his performance last season would not have me making large bets on this yet.

They were #1 and #2 on my board for us to pick at 11 last year.

Vikings are gonna be damn good soon. They'll probably get Devante Parker this year to reunite him with Teddy.

Teddy Bridgewater, Matt Kalil, Kyle Rudolph, Shariff Floyd, Anthony Barr, Harrison Smith, and Xavier Rhodes. They have a very very good young core of players and I hate them.

Two things before I address the above. Bridgewater's Pro Day meant less because he ran a Pro Style offense in college so they already had a lot of tape of him making all those throws in games. With Mariota, they don't have that. However, he did throw a lot of these routes at the combine and threw the deep ball much better to unfamiliar WR's. I don't think the Pro Day will help him nor do I think it hurts him. I think the people who liked him before like him just as much (maybe more) and the people who didn't like him still aren't interested.

He's not a pure pocket passer right now. If you want him, you understand he has to grow into that like most mobile QB's do. However, if you have a strong ground game, good D and can modify your offense somewhat (not to a spread at all), he can start day 1. I don't see that happening with the Titans as I don't see Whiz adjusting his offense, but that's another story.

And quite frankly, there already IS a spread QB 'broke the mold' who most thought would take time to grow into being a pocket passer but was VERY successful being a pocket passer in year 1 in a Pro Style offense (unlike Kap or RG3). His name is Cam Newton!!!

I believe in Mariota, but I think he is making one big mistake. Since O'Connell was hired by the Browns, he should have hired a QB coach to work with him like Cam did. I think that can make a big difference.

I completely agree with you. What the hell is the kid thinking? As soon as O'Connell left, Mariota should have found another QB coach and started worked with him ASAP. I couldn't believe my ears when he said, he was pretty much training by himself since O'Connell's departure.
