We signed a nice young SS, an injury prone OLB, an old 3rd WR, and an up and down vet CB. Re-signing our own guys should have happened BEFORE free agency but because they are being re-signed during this time it seems like a lot is happening. Conservative because we aren't going after Pro Bowl or better players like some other teams are.

This class can't really be graded yet. One its not over and two we haven't seen them play yet. I know its been said many times on here and ill say it again, just because it wasn't "reported" we were going after the top fas doesn't mean we weren't at all. Im not a fan of websters right now, but he gets one more shot.

If we are not in the playoff hunt this year, he should be gone.

This board would call Orakpo a multi-time pro bowler if he signed somewhere else. Now he is just injury prone.

Vince Young is a Pro Bowler. So is Andy Dalton. That's not a good way to evaluate a player.

Everyone here is negative as hell about everything. Just quit following if it makes you so miserable.

Which FAs would you have signed instead? Most of the top tier FAs went back to their old teams. Revis/Suh just wasn't gonna happen. We tried to go after McCourty but he took less money to play with the pats, he wasn't going anywhere.

We were literally 2nd for McCourty, so close New England even bumped their offer to keep him. We never had a shot at either of the Jets starting QBs, would have been crazy to pay a ton for Murray, Maclin is coming off his best year and was paid a ton by Kansas City who are so desperate for a WR they would outbid anyone, and oh yeah Suh would've cost a fortune and we still would have plenty of holes to fill.

I know there are knocks on some of these guys but this is a pretty good haul of FAs so far. I would like to believe we did thorough research on Orakpo before giving him that deal, Cox is a significant upgrade, Searcy a significant upgrade, we actually were able to keep Morgan who looked good as gone, and we upgraded over Nate with Douglas. In 1 week we improved 3 of our positions big time and kept Derrick Morgan.

You even been paying attention the past 5 or 6 years? Why wouldn't the fanbase be negative?

I wish people here would be more realistic about trades and free agency.
