and thats all you look for is the talent. Its a mistake passing on a natural catcher, the guy is meant to catch footballs, thats all I care about. He understands route running too, both the first 2 things that matter most at WR.

Glad this thread popped up, we need more WR discussion. Theres a real possibility we take a WR in the draft.

 

I'm hoping #33. Conley seems like a 4th rounder.

 

Conley is projected to go around that time, but Id reach in the 3rd. Give Kendall Wright Conley's hands and you got a weapon. But since you can't butcher players and play Frankenstein we should look at Conley 3rd or 4th.

He has NFL hands, we need guys like him.

 

Yes, those NFL hands that caught 100 balls over 4 years at Georgia. Come on, don't let the combine fool you. He may turn into something, but you don't reach all the way up to the 3rd round for a guy who caught 36 balls as a senior.

 

Im basing nothing at all off the combine, watch the kid's film, soft hands.

 

The dude is good. If you watched Georgia, you heard people rave about him. If you watched the all star games, you heard people rave about him. Combine? Same thing.

I think he is a 10-15th receiver in the draft, no problem.

 

I'm not saying the dude is bad. I'm saying there is a reason he never caught more than 45 balls in a year.

 

...because he can't catch balls that aren't thrown to him.

 

I don't know much about him other than what I read yesterday, I'd like us to take a chance on him...all he does is catch TD's

This is a deep class at WR. I think some solid guys will be available in the 4th rnd and later.

One guy I like is Vince Mayle from Wahington State. Obviously he played in a pass happy offense, but he has had 148 receptions, over 200oyds receiving and 16 TDs in his 2 yrs at WSU. He played JUCO his first 2 yrs. He is 6'2" and 224lbs which is solid size. Although not that fast with a 4.6 40yd, he is quick with a sub 7sec 3 cone drill and a fast shuttle time of 4.13.

I also like Kenny Bell from Nebraska as a mid to later rnd guy.
