I agree. There is no question that a QB is getting taken at some point, the question is when? I don't know why, but the closer we get, I just don't see them taking LW even though he is the best option (BPA) arguably.

Yeah, I am pretty sure they couldn't pass up Winston. Pro ready, exciting, and less boring than Mariota...that said, he will go #1

Didn't his stats show that he was more accurate down field than Winston and Hundley? There's an article going around the web about it. He was fine at the combine but struggled going deep from under center at his pro day. Something he needs to work on. superhorn from titans report said that out of Mett's 179 pass attempts, 152 came from shotgun. Maybe things won't seem so bad for Mariota if we take him.

Some say that the downfield accuracy stat is misleading simply because of the Oregon offense. The scheme gets receivers wide wide wide open down field and a lot of the time its a pitch and catch for Mariota with no defender with 7-10 yes of the receiver.

I honestly thought Mett made some big time throws last year. IMO, you can't teach guys instinct, smarts, and ability to thread the needle. All of which Mett showed flashes of. That said, he lost every game and he is slow/has been injured. Regardless of what the Titans do, they can't put ALL of their faith into Mett. If he ends up being the franchise QB, what a steal/story as a 6th rounder. If he ends up being a career backup, not bad for a 6th rounder. I think he had a crap offense and defense around him, and can only get better. The real question is, can he stay healthy enough?....

rumors around saying "people around whiz are hearing he ultimately decides to take mariota"....to me thats either a smoke screen, or we do actually like him and whiz wants to save his job for another 2-3 years banking on mariotas success

My version of the dream is that we trade down with the Jets, get Cooper/White at #6, BPA at #33, Gordon/Gurley at #37 and at least an extra first in 2016 :D
