Tommy said all the right things, & honestly tried to do all the right things. I see no reason to put him down. He realized that he did not have the football I.Q. required to run the team. Really it says a lot about him that he has admitted he is not what is best for the team & stepped aside.

I hope this team remains in Nashville for as long as I am alive. I am a Titan fan for life. Good, bad, or ugly this is my team. If it moves it would much harder to follow them & attend games.

Hopefully a new CEO with ties to Nashville will see what all of us already see in the issues we have. This is probably the best thing that could of happened to the team.

I do not like the idea of the team being sold. Too much of a concern for relocation for me.

Maybe the Ingrams with their billions should buy it

Step off the ledge people. Even if (when) the Titans are going to be sold, they will not be moved out of Nashville. San Diego, Oakland, or the Rams are going to be the franchise to relocate.

I like how aggressive Smith was during his short stint here. People are forgetting that Whiz was seen as one of the best coaching options available before we got him. I do think the Titans will benefit from having leadership in Nashville long term.

Don't remember the last time an owner made a tackle....just saying. Unless the franchise is sold this is not really a big deal. More than likely setting up the nephew to eventually take over.

I'm completely expecting the nephew to take control within a year or two

I agree that Tommy was overextended in his duties but he knew this shortly after or maybe even before he took on the job. He made the right decision.

I agree...I have never understood all of the hate for Tommy on this forum. He took over the team after Bud died. My sense is that Bud did not do a great job of succession planning, so choices at that point in time were a bit limited (and probably more limited to being inside the family circle). He did his best I think, and I thank him for that.

Tommy is not a young man himself, so one never knows....as TJ said earlier, he may have health problems that the stress of this position are not helping at all.

At any rate, I would hope that the team brings in an outside football man (like the Cows did a few years ago with Dan Reeves) to help sort this out. In the short term this will be bumpy, but in the long term I see a lot of upside to this move...JMO.

Whiz was considered one of the best that were AVAILABLE. There is a big difference in 'best', once you add that word.
